I paid $5995.00 for the stone.

$5995 for the stone, itself? Based on a PS price comparison search (if I did it correctly), it does look like you overpaid.

ETA.... it is just lovely, though.

I think it is beautiful! At the same time I do think that you over paid but do you love the diamond??? Heart shaped diamonds are harder to find and really hard to find one that is a really good quality! There is always alot of talk about finding a great cut diamond but that is a hard shape to do that. I think if you are happy with it then don''t second guess yourself!

I think it''s beautiful, but after seeing prices on bluenile I''m starting to think I can get better for the price I paid.

My girlfriend says this a lot .... "always bigger and better"

And she used to talk about wanting a 1.5ct .... but when she saw this one from Robins she liked it.

I''m going to be ordering a stone like this/or better and compare. I love the fact that I have a 30 day return policy with each of them.

Well it is great that you can afford to do that many people wouldn''t be able to. I would say that you could get a much bigger stone for what you paid for the 1.10 and she would be even happier. You can also have it set in a simple setting like that one is. I think it is very pretty. You pay big markups at store like that but can get a better deal off the net!Good luck and make sure you post more pictures of that stone also!

I was actually looking at that and everything looks right, but the l/w ratio.

I was told that I want to be within .90-1.0.

The one that we got at Robins was .96 and my gf loved the shape. Not too long and not too fat!

Ok I say #2 but you might want to call them and just make sure that both stones are eye clean before you order. I like that it has a little bit of floresence. SI2 grade cuts are give or take, many will face up clean and some won''t so that is why I say you should ask if it is eye clean. Between both really there isn''t much of a difference and you won''t see the size difference they are so close. So really it is a give or take pull petal on this one!

Nice pictures but unfortunately too small to see details in the cut. Do you have the macro function in your camera?

Going online certain opens up your options and nets you better pricing. I recommend buying from vendors who have the capability of giving you REAL magnified pictures of the stone and run light performance testing. My favourite would be with GOG because he will call in 2 stones for you to compare side by side without shipping charges unlike other vendors (if I recall correctly - please double check with www.goodoldgold.com). Jon runs a real Brick and Mortar stone in NY and will also let you see the stones via webcam. Whiteflash is another option but you have to pay for shipping if you decide to return the stone.

carat wise not as big, but size wise just as big or bigger L x W. Better Color and Clarity. Don''t know how depth affects heart shape.
