I went out to visit a jewelry store I''d never been in before.
I bought a $102 1.99ct oval sapphire from eBay just for fun, and now I am looking for a setting (have not received the eBay sapphire yet). It might be junk but I had been lurking in colored gem stones and i was curious.
Today, in the estate seciton of this jewelry store, I found a setting minus the center stone with 2 heart shaped diamond side stones totalling about .60-.65 ct.
They are so white & sparkly. And very unusual, I thought. You doin''t notice they are hearts right away. They look like fat pears.
Does anybody have any ideas of what I should ask to determine whether I want to snag ''em?
The shop owner appears to be a ceritfied gemologist, has a loupe, etc.
The jeweler told me it had been an ''important'' ring.
The ring itself is platinum and obviously good quality. The previous stone was a very high quality ruby that the owner re-set.
