I’ve only had him 7 weeks since I rescued him from a state park forest. But we are already inseparable lol. We rang in the New Years being cozy and quiet.

One of the reasons I broke up with my gentleman friend last year was due to spending time away from my pets.
He does not like dogs and would not come over to mine.
I missed my pets and was feeling guilty for spending time away from them.
I believe they like spending time sitting next to me in the evenings, judging by this photo!

When I brought Shale home from my hike my partner wasn’t too thrilled. But knew that if he made me get rid of the cat there was a good chance he’d be asked to leave first.

My Dog, Hero, whom we rescued in July of 2018, has a new love: my daughter's fiancé (as of Christmas day). Ever since Hero met him he has been in love. If he can sleep alone with her fiancé or with my daughter or me, he chooses her fiancé.

When I brought Shale home from my hike my partner wasn’t too thrilled. But knew that if he made me get rid of the cat there was a good chance he’d be asked to leave first.

That's how you know they are keepers. When Greg and I were dating he was terribly allergic to my (at the time 3) cats. When he proposed he said we are all a family cats and humans and he started immunotherapy weekly for 2 years and then twice a month for 2 years and now he is basically on a maintenance immunotherapy schedule (20 years later lol). But I digress. Animals are a great way to weed out the worthy humans from the ones not worth our energy, time and love.

What a cozy and sweet photo and I agree completely with you. They love being with you at night and hanging out all cozy and comfy. You are all a family and if the guy doesn't get it then he isn't worth it. IMO. You and the furry babies deserve better.

I have my pets for over 11 years on my own, they are my family and would not give them up for anyone! It is a case of like me like my pets with no exception.

Missy, this was just on my mind. I am so grateful for my life, my gratitude is overflowing. The past 3 years have put me through the wringer, and I have come out very successful in spite of all those who rooted against me or tried to hurt me. I know who my truest friends and loves are. I cannot imagine life without the support of this who have rallied for me. It's a wonderful way to start the new year!!!
