Happy Hump Day! woo hoo.

Lisa- Hope you are having fun on your ski trip! (not sure when you are leaving) Sounds like you got some great workouts in! Yay, go you!

BB- Welcome!
35.gif
I''m sorry to hear about your tough situation. Your schedule sounds uber tight right now, but even w/ 30 min of exercise 3x week can be an awesome start to a healthier lifestyle. After you find that routine, exercise can give you more energy and ready to tackle your child head on!
2.gif
Have you tried your daughter on Melatonin? I''m NOT a Dr. and would def. consult your PCP, but Melatonin is a natural supplement to what our bodies already make that provides regulation of our natural cycles. It could help your daughter get a regular sleep schedule?

marcy- you made me laugh out loud with your "ice berg" comment. We have some areas where the ice just won''t melt either. Kinda rough when I''m running outside; just have to be careful!

cj- Good luck on your exam!

Rod- I''ll call you Rod
2.gif
. I eat almonds regularly as well for a snack; they aren''t my absolute favorite, but, they do make a good snack. Oh, and my Mom got a tattoo at 50. You only live once, right? You want a tattoo, go for it!

charbie- Yay for your lc! I used to eat those religiously, but now I''d rather take leftovers or something sans all the sodium packed in those guys. LC is def. the best brand you can buy. Have you tried the Kashi meals? They are good, and about the same price to LC if you can catch them on sale.

bbg-Keep up the awesome work!!

pinki (and charbie)- Much congrats on your weight loss!
36.gif

As for me: I did weights yesterday, and I had a veggie burger with ranch style beans for dinner. nom nom nom! I hope to run outside today, but it looks a little cloudy today. I haven''t ran outside in about a week; can''t wait to get back out there. I feel rested today, so I''m happy about that
1.gif
Hubs and I have been watching a lot of the Olympics, but can I tell you, I can''t wait for the baby episode on "The Office"!! Love that show.

Well, ya''ll have a good day!

Well, I just got back from my doctor’s appointment. He said my MRI looks normal and can’t find anything wrong with me. Even though that’s good news, I felt like crying because, there I was, listening to him tell me that the MRI looks good, all the while my back was hurting. It’s just so frustrating. He referred me to a pain management specialist.

On the brighter side, I did get out to the gym last night. Did 10 minutes on the stair climber to warm up and then took a yoga class. In some of the poses, I felt pain and in others, I didn’t. I was just happy to be there and get through the class.

Lorelei, your new avatar creeps me out! LOL!

Lliang, that’s great that you have your sis to work out with! Sorry to hear about how things are going at work. Hopefully, things will look up soon in that department. Did your windows get installed? Thanks for the tips for back pain! The yoga last night did seem to help stretch me out a bit but man, I felt like an 80 year old lady who can barely bend over!

Bubble, I’m sorry to hear about how things are going for you right now. Sometimes, when the world around you seems chaotic, I think it helps to take control of what you can, however small that may be. So if you can find a bit of time to work out, I’m sure that’ll do wonders for your emotional well-being. This group has wonderful people who are incredibly supportive and inspiring. Welcome!

Marcy, oh my, has your front porch defrosted yet? You should post a pic! I’m glad you got some rest.

CJ, good luck on your exam!

Rod, glad to hear you’re on the mend. Any news on the condo? Aw, that story about your office mate is sad. Hopefully, she’ll get on the show. Thanks for your encouragement re the back. I definitely need to step up my efforts on strengthening my core, especially since my doc can’t figure out what’s wrong with me.

Charbie, your lent idea is a great one. I’m sure your doggies will love it! Your tat sounds cool. Can’t wait to see the pic. YAY for getting to 174!

Burberry, yay for small victories! I’m glad you’re already feeling better.

Pinki, YAY for hitting 175!

Beach, glad you got some rest. Hopefully, the weather will improve enough for you to run outside.

Tlh, hope everything goes smoothly with your move!

Happy Hump Day!

Hey Panda!

What type of pain are you experiencing? I was in a similar situation.

Hi Burberry,

My pain is localized in my lower back, right above the butt. Lately, it''s been radiating a little bit to my left. I mostly feel pressure in my lower back when I am on my feet. It gets worse the longer I''m standing and also if I''m carrying any weight, to the point where I have to lie down to get some relief. Sitting used to be okay but is now getting less comfortable. My back was okay for awhile until I went on a trip in Nov. 09 where I did a lot of walking. By day 3, I was in horrible pain and since I''ve been home, it''s been worsening

HI:

Howdy gang! Been to the gym twice this week and worked it hard, but am getting very bored with the indoor routine--happens ever year this time. I am anxious for no snow and running, biking and hiking outdoors! I envy those who have that all year round!

Keep well and congrats to those who''ve lost weight.

cheers--Sharon

Hey.........It was a long day at work and I'm still fighting this blasted cold. I didn't think it would be wise to do my typical 'uber' workout, so I can home and had dinner with Charlie instead. It's dreary out and getting chilly. Tomorrow's high is only supposed to be in the 50s, which for Tampa is cold. I'll find out tomorrow how many of the people my client interviewed will be getting offers. It could be SIGNIFICANT, so if you could all send some heaping truck loads of PS Dust my way, it would be much appreciated. If all goes well, I may make more money in February, than I made in all of 2009! I've worked so hard, so some success would be a nice reward! We still haven't heard the final word on the condo. The sales manager for the condo wrote me this afternoon to ask for our patience. The developer and two of the equity partners have approved our offer. They're just waiting for the final equity partner to sign off. I must admit it's a bit frustrating, but hopefully it will all work out.
Hey charbie, you know what's the best part about Wednesday? It's almost Thursday!! I think it's great you're going to let the pooches benefit for lent!! My coworker seems enthused about the possibility for getting on Biggest Loser. An 'uber' Woo Hoo for hitting 174!!!!

Yay for working out a lot lately Burberrygirl!

Sunny is Nice Marcy.........Too cold, is not. Stay warm dear friend..........LOL about being able to see the end of the earth from Wyoming!!

You go pinki!!! Congrats on hitting 175!!

BR, I hope you get to run outside soon. I told Charlie you've given me permission to get a tattoo!!
31.gif

Hi tlh.......I hope all goes well with the movers. I hope you don't get too stressed out.

Panda, I'm sorry to hear the frustration about the pain. When I hurt myself over a year ago, I wound up going to a Physical Therapist, which for me was a life saver. You might want to see if you can get a prescription for a PT? If you get a prescription, it's covered under insurance. It might really help you and the PT would likely help you strengthen your core.

Sharon, I would hate being trapped inside for so long too. I hope spring isn't far away. Yay for working it hard!!

OK.......I'll check in tomorrow. Have a great night everyone......

Hi everyone! Quick check in - I'm buried at work and haven't had time to do anything but work and sleep. I wanted to pop in to share my good news...After weigh in today, I made weight watchers lifetime membership! My total loss ended up being 64 pounds, and I have to keep 2 pounds above or 2 pounds below that number to maintain lifetime membership. As long as I'm a lifetime member, I don't have to pay for meetings. Woo-hoo!!!! Thanks so much for the great support in this thread. You guys are awesome!!! Have a great Thursday everyone!

That sounds awful!!! I used to have these horrible muscle spasms in my lower back. For some reason it was worse on my left side, one of my doctors even told me that he could feel how swollen my lower back was, especially on my left side. I went to different specialists and they really couldn't figure out what was wrong/didn't know what to do for me. I was on muscle relaxers for some time. I tried PT and that helped a little, my back was better for a while and then eventually the spasms came back. Therapeutic massage helped a little too. Finally, my dad recommended this amazing female chiropractor. I had been to other chiropractors before, but I just didn't click as well with them. So, she took x-rays and finally figured out what was wrong (all this after I had seen different specialists and had multiple x-rays). I had to go to the chiro about 2-3 times a week for quite a while and eventually I was able to go less. Now I go about once a month and have very little lower back pain. I know some people hate chiropractors but it really worked for me.

I agree with Rod about PT, you should definitely check that out and maybe therapeutic massage as well. Good luck, I really hope your back starts to feel better soon!

Hi everyone.I got my icy porch mostly cleared off tonight.Sadly tomorrow we are having more snow.I made ½ of a ½ batch of snickerdoodles for my office tomorrow. We each get 2 cookies.Seemed like a lot of effort for a few cookies but tomorrow is going to be a very hectic day so I thought that would be a nice treat.

Tomorrow night is my last cake class but my friend and I are going to HH again and this time I doubt we will make it to class.

29261o4pp4eiope.gif

Pinki, congratulations for hitting 175 pounds. That is so exciting.

woohoo.gif

Charbie, congratulations for hitting 174 pounds. That is way cool.

cheerleader1.gif

Beach Runner, woo hoo for hump day is right.I think the wind is just cold enough to keep the ice in the permafrost state.Rats.Do watch out for ice when you are running. We were a bit warmer her today but it was mostly cloudy.I hope you got out to run.

Tlh, have a safe trip to your new home.

Panda, sorry to hear you didn’t get any resolution at the doctor’s office.Hopefully it is something that will get better and maybe working out and strengthening your muscles will help.My front porch is a lot better tonight.I spent about 30 minutes chopping on it tonight with a shovel and a snow shovel.I always do enjoy knowing I am healthy enough to do something like that now – the old Marcy would have had a heart attack on the spot.I should have got a photo – it was unreal. Our front porch is about 5 x 6 feet and the ice had to be almost 2 inches thick on it.When I walked around the corner I was going “OMG!”The down spout still has ice coming out of it and it is so solid I couldn’t knock it off but it is melting out of there.

Burberrygirl, I hope your back gets better too.

Sharon, I am very anxious for nicer weather too.I am tired of pacing my house at night. It’s the same scenery all the time.

Rod, I hope your cold gets better.Sounds like you are going to need a sweater tomorrow.Mega PS dust coming your way that your clients get offers.

1229642o3xt6zfh5z.gif
Rats for the final partner holding up the final signal on your condo.Hopefully you’ll be celebrating client offers, big bucks and a new condo soon.

Deegee, congratulations for being a ww lifetime member.

My mom has been one for about 4 years now and she still faithfully goes every week to get weighed.

Take care.

you all just make me so happy...did i ever say that before??
at bowling tonight, we WON our league. it''s pretty humorous, considering 3 of the 4 people on our team hadn''t really bowled before, and we were the only team with females on the team. but we consistently got better throughout the season, so when handicaps were set, we had really high handicaps. our awesome prize, you ask!?!?!?!? we get front row tickets at when the PROFESSIONAL bowlers come to town next weekend. that''s right...guess who''s gonna be on ESPN?? haha! i''m gonna wear my PBA shirt i won during the season. booo-yah! (i''m hoping you all can read my semi-sarcasm in this post...i mean, it was pretty funny that we won...and even funnier that we could care less about bowling. but its a once in a lifetime opportunity, so i don''t feel too guilty taking someone''s spot...)
tomorrow starts our quick trip to north carolina for the weekend...yay! i''m already aware i''ll probably consume (more than likely through alcohol) some extra calories, but i plan on getting some exercise in while i''m down there and cannot wait to be in some fresh air!

rod- hope that cold goes away soon- and mucho dusto for the clients getting hired! that''s flippin'' sweet!

marcy- i''ve driven thru wyoming before...beautiful part of the country! a bit desolate in parts...well, most parts...but i think it''s pretty cool that is where you live!

panda- be careful with the pain specialists...they can be a bit crazy. i hope they can soon find out what the ROOT of the problem is and don''t just try to mask it with meds. my husband had chronic back pain, as did his mom, and he nly thing that helps him is core strength training.

sharon- i am also uber (yes, that''s rod''s word) envious of those year-round outdoor dwellers. jealous! i can''t wait to be outside either!

deegee- whooooopie! i can''t do all the cute emoties- but very exciting news indeed. and inspirational!

tlh- happy, stress-less, moving dust!

i''ll catch y''all next week more than likely since i''ll be out of town, but maybe stopping in on my phone :)

Charbie, you are going to be a TV star? Cool! Congratulations. Have fun on your trip and weekend alcohol is calorie free - right?

I had to laugh at "most parts" of Wyoming being desolate but yes there are some pretty places too.

Hey everyone!

I''ve been running around getting ready for our ski trip. Cottonwood Canyons, UT. Woo hoo! We''ve been there before and it''s been fun. But I''ve been pretty busy with packing, making cookies, sorting out who''s going to take care of the dog, etc. Sigh! Why do I have to do *everything*? And I mean that directed and a certain husband... It''s not like he doesn''t also have a dog, and he doesn''t know we''re going to be out of town. We''re eating leftovers for dinner, are they going to heat themselves up? Then tonight I asked him to go to a condo association meeting and he''s totally like, "What''s so important about it? Do I have to go?"
29.gif
29.gif
ARGH!!!! WTF! Sorry, I just had to vent about that.

So anyway, I haven''t gotten around to do any working out since Sunday. Our eats have been pretty good though. I''ve been kinda meh, on the lunches at work so I''ve been eating a lot of salads.

Thank you all for the sympathies about the work situation. I think it''s getting better only because my boss is actually making an effort now. The former intern now hired on full time is totally getting on my nerves. It''s like he keeps trying to assert some "authority" he thinks he has over me, and let''s just say I don''t appreciate it. Anyway, he''s young and I''ll give him the benefit of the doubt.

TLH, moving dust for you!!! Check in when you can.

BBear, welcome!! Sounds like you have a very stressful situation. I wouldn''t have the energy to do much in terms of working out either. But maybe you can do some multitasking for working out. Lift some light dumbells while you''re watching TV. Get a swiss ball and do core exercises while you''re watching TV. Eventually you''ll get used to using your TV time as exercise time. As your daughter gets older you can transition to a gym and watch TV then. Just a thought. But just thinking "out loud" maybe joining a gym would be a nice "sanctuary" from your home life. There are some gyms in my city that offer daycare for a short amount of time. Not fancy gyms either, some YMCAs have childcare. I hope you keep your spirits up though. I know it sounds trite and easier said than done, but we''re hear for you to vent etc. (see my example above
20.gif
)

SS, how''s the weight going with the bebe (hee hee, couldn''t resist the Frenchy-frenchy opportunity)

Marcy, I''m glad you got some sleep! I think whatever you have is in Chicago because it just started coming down pretty significantly tonight when I was taking sister to her boyfriend''s. Have fun at your HH and possibly your cake decorating class (CDC). Gah! Your porch sound scary! I''m glad you got it whittled down. And you''re right, awesome that you''re able to do that now.

CJewel, good luck on your exam.

Rod, I''m glad you''re feeling better. LOTS of work dust for you. It''d be awesome if you got some gain for all your work pain. Hopefully your coworker will be motivated by the Biggest Loser auditions. Even if she doesn''t get the spot, she can still take it to heart.

Charbie, I love your great attitude! Your doggies will LOVE your Lenten sacrifice. I asked James if other denominations have Lent and his answer was "HECK NO!" Cool tattoo. I''d love to see a picture when it''s all healed. I''m scared scared scared of tattoos, but my sister got one, she really likes. Hope your work situation turns around for you too. Enjoy your NC trip :)

Burb, great job witht he working out! That''s awesome and a great motivator :)

Pinki Good job on the weight loss. Rooting for your last pound
36.gif

Beach, Thanks for the good wishes on the trip. We leave Friday AM. Sister decided to sign up for the marathon. I''m half interested in doing it with her, but half not. I told her I''ll run with her though.

Panda, hopefully yoga will help you out. If yoga helped you should definitely keep up on the stretches. Maybe you can try acupuncture? I had CRAZY wrist pain last summer, to the point I couldn''t even write. I did acupuncture for 6 wks twice a week and it was 80-85% better. Another 3-4 wks once a week I was 100% better. It''s not going to be a on-off night and day change when you first start going, but if you give it some patience, you''ll get there. See if you can get any recommendations. I''ll see if I can dig up the acupuncture associations I found when I was looking for mine.

Sharon, I can''t *WAIT* for the summer!!! go you for working it hard :) I''m totally getting cabin fever too.

Deegee, Yay for your good news! That''s awesome.

That''s all for me folks!

Happy almost Friday day!!

Soo, I got to run outside yesterday! Sometimes I wish I can wake up early and do my running in the am; I get so jealous looking at all the runners in the am while I'm driving to work. I feel like when I'm running in the evenings I may run out of daylight. But, the days are getting longer, so my problem will soon be ending! Anyways, I had a great run yesterday, and I'm hoping I can make it outside today as well. Stir-fry for eats last night; yum yum. My work is sponsering a 5K in May, and I signed up to volunteer (I have a half and 10k in May that I'm dying to do). I just found out at our staff meeting that if you volunteer for this, it counts as paid work time. Good karma points there!
31.gif

Lisa- Good for you sister for doing the marathon! You should do it with her, why not, right!? Have fun on your trip; again, jealous!

Rod- What Charlie for or against the tattoo? And ***dust*** blowing your way!!! That will be so exciting!

panda- Ugh, that must be frustrating. I hope you start feeling better soon.

deegee- That is awesome! BIG congrats!!
36.gif
36.gif

marcy- Can I work with you? I LOVE Snickerdoodles. Yum! How thoughtful of you to do that. And yay for being ice free!

charbie- Bowler, huh? Cool! i always tell hubs we should go bowling sometime, but, I think bowling is a sport that must be done with a group.

tlh- Happy trails to you! Hope the move is going well!!

Hello everyone.

Quick update from me.

Had my weigh in on Monday. I lost another 4lbs so that''s 21.5lbs in total so far. I also won slimmer of the week and slimmer of the month awards!

Ladies and Gents I am FINALLY getting back on track!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Last night was my first serious post injury work out. I did weighted cross punches and jumping jacks, and in between I did overhead raises on the floor (works abs) weighted leg raises on floor, standing side crunches, overhead presses, and some other weight work, bridge pose, chair pose, tree pose, and hundreds.

Today.... NO PAIN... NONE.... ZERO. I have some tension this afternoon in my shoulders, that I think is from stressing a bit today, but NOTHING low back!

I am feeling bloated though.. probably due to not drinking enough yesterday.

I"M SO EXCITED THOUGH!

TLH - good luck!
Panda - have you visited a Chiro? Mine has worked wonders for me, and where I otherwise was told I had a healthy spine and got put on muscle relaxants that did nothing
38.gif
he found a slight spinal "tilt" that is pinching nerves and straining my muscles! Yours sounds SO MUCH like what I''ve been experiencing!!! though my pain centralized to the right (the direction of the tilt)
canuk - does your gym have a pool by chance?
31.gif

Rod - Don''t you HATE THIS COLD????

HI:

I love hearing all folk''s good news--feeling healthy (no pain) and losing weight and achieving goals! YAH and keep up the good work!

Nice to see ya''ll!

Worked out today and will go again tomorrow. The water was chilly today but braved it for a good workout. Had the treadmill on the highest incline (15%) and I liked that climbing a big hill feeling.....

Take care and almost TGIF people!!!!!

cheers--Sharon

Hey......It was a decent day at work. So far, my client has selected 7 of my candidates to receive job offers. All have said hey will accept! WOO HOO. Hopefully, there will be more to come. It will be a week at least before the offers are officially sent, but things should go smoothly. Still no news on the condo. Am finding this VERY frustrating. Just give us an answer. Either they want to sell it to us or they don''t. If we don''t have an answer by Saturday, we''re going out on our own, without our realtor to a new condo in St. Petersburg that''s supposed to be really cool. I don''t really want to move from Tampa to St. Pete, but if the condo was cool enough, it''s something we might consider. Our commute would go from minutes to at least 1/2 hour. I did tell our realtor we were thinking about this. Maybe I told her more so she''d liight a fire under the condo we really want...........YAYAYAY for tomorrow being Friday. It''s been a long week. I should be good to go for a nice long gym workout Saturday afternoon.

I''m VERY proud of you deegee!!! I''m know you''ll maintain your lifetime membership easily!! Woo Hoo For You!!!

Burberrygirl, I''m also a big believer in chiropractic.

Oh no to more snow Marcy. How nice of you to make cookies for your coworkers........Thanks for the dust.....keep it coming......

I got a kick out of your bowling story and the prize charbie! Have a great trip to NC and just enjoy yourself (without counting calories).

Feel free to vent anytime Lisa. Lord knows I do on a semi-daily basis!! I''m glad things are work with the boss are going better. I hope you have a wonderful trip to UT......

BR, I''m not sure Charlie''s against tatto''s. He''d likely just chalk it up to another mid-life crisis. Actually, he''s commented he would get one someday. Maybe we''ll just do that at some point. Afterall, we didn''t get our ear pierced until I was nearly 50......LOL

WOO HOO Merry!! 21.5 lbs., is a wonderful accomplishment. We''re all proud of you for sure.........

I''m so glad you had a good post injury workout dragon!!! Pain free workouts are a really good thing!! Yes, I hate this cold. Hopefully, we''ll be back to more normal temps soon.

Hey Sharon.....I''m glad you swam and had a good workout.

OK.....have a great Friday everyone..........

Hi Ladies and Gent! Thanks for all the congrats! Great News - I hit my weekly goal! 174! Woo hoo! I caught up to you Charbie! Some pretty good plans for the weekend. Today we're meeting at the Ballroom where we're having our reception to go over final details, questions, etc. which should be fun. I had a minor set back that I'm trying to fix - a little back story: I wanted a small wedding, FI wanted a big wedding. We met in the middle so the ceremony will only have 40 people (closest family and friends) and then the reception will have 200 people. After the ceremony I wanted a sit down dinner for the people who were at the ceremony (Reception starts at 8:00pm and is all appetizers). So in the same building where my reception is, there is a historic restaurant that has this STUNNING side room. Brick walls with 20+ foot ceilings, hardwood floors, stainded glass windows, etc. The company that runs the restaurant is also my caterer for the reception. So when I called to arrange the catering I had also said I wanted the side room in the restaurant for my family dinner. Fast forward over 6 months, we meet with the caterer to pick food and make final plans and she says "Oh we have the room reserved for your rehearsal dinner on Friday." Umm....no...that was for my wedding dinner. "Oh...oops...we have a small weddng booked in there Saturday"...So I didn't panic, but I was sad. I was like, ok, now what. So I immediately suggested that we do it in the ballroom, on the stage or in the balcony area, etc. and she was like "Oh! We have a room up there called the Gestern, it's gorgeous and we'll do everything we can to make it perfect" so we went up there to look at it and it was locked (again, ballroom is managed by a different company) so today I get to see this room. I really hope its not a dump. I only assume it might be because the building itself is over 100 years old and its fallen into disrepair and in the last 10 years they've been slowly trying to revive it which is why I loved it for my reception. SOOOO, hopefully this room is nice and I can feel better about the dinner plans.

The auto show is in town so we're going to pop into that, and then Saturday is a friends housewarming party. Sunday I'm having the in-laws to be over for dinner so I have to MIL-Proof my house. Sounds easy, but you all saw Fred. Hehehe...

Charbie - congrats on bowling! Let us know when the ESPN segment will be on so we can all catch you!

Rod - Get better soon and Congrats on all the offers! Does that mean a huge check for you?

Marcy - You're killing me with Cookie Talk! Now I want cookies...yummm. We have a slight ice problem on our porch, but nothing like yours. Ours is just on one step, it drips off the roof and creates a huge ice block. Poor mailman!

Lliang_chi - OMG, I totally sympathize with you. My fiance is currently working nights, and he had off yesterday so he stays up all night watching TV. When I left for work in the morning he was sprawled out on the couch and says "can you let the dog out?" WTF???? I'm literally trying to get to the gym for my Body Pump class(At 5:00 am mind you), he has off all day and I have to let the dog out? I do let him out every morning, but dude, if you're sitting there all day help me out for a change. So I screamed at my pup to get outside, slammed doors and left without kissing him. Then he emails me at work and was like "what was your problem?" He's so lucky I don't own a gun. LOL

BeachRunner - Yay for running outside! I prefer working out in the AM - its a great way to jumpstart my day.

MerryMunkey - CONGRATS! You're killing it! I'm so happy for you!
36.gif
Any secrets for the rest of us?

DragonFly - Glad you're able to get back at it. Feels good huh?

Canuk Gal - I LOVE walking at inclines. I have a bum knee so I can't run more than twice a week and I sweat more walking at an incline. I haven't done 15 yet, but I'm at 10.

Shiny - Sore = progress. At least that's what I tell myself. I love that feeling.

I wish everyone a wonderful weekend! I can't wait for next weeks' starter and my new goal - 172. Wish me luck...or at least sprinkle some dust that I don't hit a plateau.

MM- Congrats on the 4 lbs! That''s awesome!

dragonfly- I''m happy to hear you got a GREAT workout in and had ZERO pain! Awesome feeling, right? I saw you mentioned sweet potato chips in another thread. I''m curious about these; do you just slice chip sized pieces, season and bake? They sound yummy!

Sharon- Oof, I hate hills! Congrats for getting in another awesome workout. Your workout awesome seem so great!

Rod- You guys should get tattoos together! I''ve never been in the home ownership process yet, but it doesn''t sound fun. Bleck

I hope you get a great workout in on Saturday!

ss- Hello
35.gif
And I''m glad you got to eat what you were craving.

pinki- I can''t tell you how many times we changed our wedding location. Oof! I hope this room works out for you, but I''m sure it''s nice or else they wouldn''t suggest it, right? Wedding planning has many hiccups and you just gotta roll with it, and not get too upset. Easy said that done, right? Regardless, I hope this room works out for you! And, jealous of you that you can work out in the ams. Maybe I should just suck it up and do it one morning, and see how I feel.

Hello to everyone else
35.gif

My run yesterday was not good. Again, don''t think I ate enough, got real tired and dizzy. Oof! Then, on my way home, it started raining/snowing. Again, not fun. Hubs greeted me with some juice, which made me feel better. We had turkey tacos for eats. Lets see, we don''t have many plans for this weekend, actually, none. Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Happy Friday!

I weighed myself this morning and I’m down 2 pounds!

Thanks everyone, for your kind words re my back. The pain in my left was so bad yesterday that I broke down and took a vicodin after I got home from work. I'm trying hard not to let the chronic pain depress me but every so often, I feel like crawling into a hole.

I’m not crazy about going to a pain management specialist, as I fear that she will only but me on meds. But I will give the doc the benefit of the doubt and see what suggestions she comes up with. My plan is to medicate so that I am comfortable enough to work on stretching and strengthening my core, with the long term goal of being pain free without meds.

Sharon, hope the weather improves enough for you to get outside!
Deegee, CONGRATS on become a WW lifetime member! WOO-HOO!

Burberry, you know, going to a chiropractor is the only avenue I haven’t tried yet. DH swears by it and regularly gets adjusted. I have this irrational fear of being adjusted, all the cracking freaks me out. Maybe it’s time for me to face my fear…

Marcy, Mmmm… your cookies sound so good. Glad to hear your porch is cleared off. Sounds like you could have ice skated on it! Would have loved to see a photo...

Charbie, I love how your team won your bowling league! LOL! When are you guys gonna be on TV? Thanks for the warning re the pain specialist. Overly relying on meds is definitely something that I’m concerned about.

Lisa, have fun on your ski trip! Glad to hear things are improving with your boss. Now if only the former intern will get with the program… I have tried acupuncture and it didn’t work for me. In fact, it aggravated my pain. Maybe it was the doc but he’s reputable and a good friend of mine swore by him. I tried another doc and had similar results. It’s a shame because I hear from so many people about how acupuncture worked wonders for them.

Beach, sorry to hear that your run didn’t go so well. That’s really sweet of your DH to greet you with some juice!
Merry, congrats on another 4 pounds lost! That’s awesome!
36.gif

Dragonfly, YAY for no more pain!
36.gif
I hope to be able to say that one day soon. I think I’m gonna have to bite the bullet and try the chiro. I’m glad you found pain relief with yours.

Rod, great news about your clients accepting the job offers! I didn’t get a chance to check in yesterday but I was sending good thoughts your way. Sorry that things are dragging with the condo. Sounds like your realtor needs a swift kick in the pants. Did your offer state a date by which the sellers had to accept?

SS, hope the soreness in your arms has dissipated. Happy Birthday to JT!
Pinki, congrats on hitting your weekly goal and getting to 174!

Ahh… wedding planning. Brings me back to when I did it last year. You sound like a relaxed and reasonable bride to be. Hope the room is gorgeous!
Have a great weekend everyone!

I love this thread. I''m late in responding, because well, life has been crazy the last couple of weeks. Thanks for all the encouragement last week.

Last week, I made it to the gym 2x''s. This week, none. I''m trying... next week, I''ll be better prepared. I''ve scheduled myself for 2 spinning classes and will go on my lunch during work. I prefer to go before work so I can shower and be comfortable for the rest of the day, but waking up at 4:30 has been too hard.

Next week, I am going to start plannng my meals better (taking Lorelei''s advice and start eating healthier). I went to Trader Joe''s yesterday and bought some healthy snacks, and left in the fridge at the office, so I will always have food. I even measured and divided the trail mix into separate bags based on servings so I don''t binge. This week, I didn''t have time to step away from my desk and ended up eating cup o noodle at least 2 days (ugghhhhh! Trying not to be so hard on myself). I was in class on Monday night and it totally threw off my week. I felt exhausted all week.

My van was also giving me issues and was in the shop all of yesterday. This is my first and last time ever buying a used car.

This weekend, we''re visiting my sister at her new place in Monterey. It''ll be good for the kids to play with their cousin. Sunday, I''m working on moving my 2 year old into a big girl bed. Hopefully she''ll adjust quickly.

I enjoyed reading some of your posts.

Lorelei – Your new avatar freaks me out too! I must’ve stared at it for a few minutes yesterday trying to figure out what to make of it. LOL.

MerryMunkey – Yay! I’m so happy for you. My 10 month old weighs 17 lbs, and wow, what an accomplishment!

Pinki & Charbie – Congrats on hitting 174! Accomplishing weight loss goals are a great feeling. I’m hoping to join you guys in celebrating soon.

Pinki – I love the picture of your 2 dogs together side by side. It’s the cutest. I’ve always wanted a big sweet pooch but we are so limited on space.

TLH – Happy moving! It’s stressful, but try to have fun. New place means new ways to arrange furniture!

Have a good weekend everyone! Talk to you guys soon!

Hey........I was just plain pooped today and found it difficult to work hard. But I did (somewhat) and I think just about everyone in my office was kind of spent, so there was a bit more socializing than usual. One of the offers that was supposed to be out to one of my candidates didn''t arrive. Turns out it was mixed up in Mumbai (the client is headquartered in India), so the offer won''t be released now until next week. Thankfully, my candidate is OK with this and will accept as soon as he get''s the offer. The other offers will hopefully be released by the end of the week. I was so stressed over the condo this afternoon. At 5:00 PM, we still didn''t have an answer and I was like...."you''ve got to be kidding." So we were actually scheduled to look at some more properties tomorrow, but then I got a call from my realtor while we were having sushi that the offer approval finally came through, so we''re signing the agreement Monday afternoon. It''s just a reflief to almost have this over. And the stress has taken a toll on my back. I bent down to pick something up this afternoon and click, I felt it and am now in back pain central. I''ve been through this many times, so I''ll just have to do some more core strengthening exercises, but the gym tomorrow afternoon may not be in my future. We''ll just have to see how I feel tomorrow afternoon.

I hope JT''s birthday trip is lot''s of fun SS!!

Yay for hitting your weekly goal pinki. I hope the Gestern is more than you could have hoped for. Deep Breaths......It will all be perfect for your special day!! And yes, once the offers are all accepted, and the client pays the invoices, it will mean a very nice commission check for me!!

LOL about us both getting tat''s BR!! Maybe one day we will. I''m sorry you got tired and dizzy during your run. You have to enough fuel and be fully hydrated. You don''t want to pass out on the street my dear........Take care..........

Yay for being down 2 lbs Panda. On the condo issue, it''s not our realtor''s fault to be honest. As is the case these days with most condo towers, they are either in receivership (not good) or they have equity partners (much better). We''re buying in a very stable new building, but there are 3 equity partners. The developer and 2 of the equity partners approved our offer within a day. The 3rd (Lehman Brothers) just took another week and a half. Very frustrating, but there wasn''t anything our realtor or the developer could do. At least it''s over and we''re signing the purchase agreement Monday afternoon.

OK......I guess that''s it from me. Have a great weekend everyone.........

Marcy – Thank you! My back feels much better. I had a bit of a scare a few weeks ago—my 60 pound dog hurt his back leg and can’t walk up stairs so I was carrying him a lot. I definitely over did it and stressed my back. Thankfully I’m fine again and off to the chiro in the morning! Cookies sound yummy... I think I’m craving something sweet! I’m glad your porch is almost ice free. I’m in MI, all the snow we’ve gotten has been a PITA, driving has been pretty tough. My dad owns a tire and wheel business so I always have great snow tires, I can’t imagine MI winters without them! Yay for the weekend and Marty coming home soon!

Lliang_chi – Thanks! This thread has definitely been keeping me motivated. That’s good that your boss is making more of an effort, hopefully things will continue to look up for you. I hope you have a great time on your ski trip :)

BeachRunner – Yum, stir-fry sounds great right now, this thread is making me hungry lol. Yay for good karma points :) I actually like working out in the evening much more, I guess I’m not much of a morning person and I tend to get more motivated later in the day.

Merrymunky – Congrats, that’s great! You should be extremely proud of yourself, and I’m very inspired by you! Keep up the great work!

Dragonfly – That’s good news; I went through something similar with my lower back. It really sucked not being able to work out while I was injured, yay for us both getting back on track!

Sharon – Hi! I love hearing everyone’s good news too, it really inspires me to keep eating healthy and working out.

Rod – I love the chiro too, it really has worked wonders for me. Fingers crossed for the condo. Oh, I just read your latest post—congrats! I hope your back feels better soon.

Somethingshiny – Hi, I hope JT had a great birthday :)

Pinki – Yay for hitting your goal, that’s great! I hope everything turns out okay with your venue!

Panda – Congrats on losing two pounds! I definitely know how you feel, I hope you can find yourself a great chiro and get your pain under control. I would suggest going to a female chiro, from my experience they tend to be a little more gentle which would be best if it kind freaks you out—that way you could ease in to it if you decide to go the chiro route. Good luck, I hope you have a nice pain free weekend!

LovelyHearts – I measure everything too, it helps to keep me from overeating. Look luck with eating healthy, you can do it! :)

I had a great workout today, very intense and I feel great! Okay, since I''ve been working out like crazy my face has been breaking out around my chin--which is very upsetting because I NEVER get zits ever! In the last two week I''ve had four zits (they''re small at least), that''s more than I got throughout high school. My friends are loving it, they always hated that I never broke out, lol... oh well, it could be worse. I shower all the time, always after work outs... maybe I''m touching my face a lot, it could be that and hormones. Fingers crossed that it''ll clear up soon :)

I hope everyone has a fantastic weekend!

Hi everyone.I just waddled over to my laptop.

9.gif
We took the in-laws to our favorite steak house for supper.I ate way too much but it was delicious.Of course I tried not to eat much today. We stopped at the liquor store on the way home and stocked up on wine for our wine rack.I am sipping on some Bailey’s right now.
3.gif

Tomorrow we are going to the in-laws for my father-in-law’s birthday.I am going to attempt to make and decorate a cake for him.Wish me luck.

Burberrygirl, I am delighted to hear your back is feeling better.I hate to hear your dog got hurt; is he doing better now?Good snow tires are worth their weight in gold.We have 18” wide all season tires and they are amazing in snow and on ice.If my car slides or gets stuck I am kind of impressed. That is nice you have connections in the tire and wheel business. How wonderful you are working out so much. That is kind of strange your face broke out.I hope they clear up soon.I swear when I have a zit I know everyone is staring at it.

I’m with Burberrygirl.I hope everyone is having a fantastic weekend.

Take care.

Hi Marcy! Mel is slowly getting better. He's on lots of pain medicine and was ordered by the vet to take it easy. We have to keep him from getting excited or running around so he won't hurt himself even more. Poor doggy! He's been very clingy/needy lately. My face was much better when I woke up this morning, I think it was a combination hormones and stress. Good luck with the cake, I'm sure it will turn out great!
