Does anyone out there have any buyer remorse for not getting quite 1 carat? Im in such a quandry and need to make a decision. Essentially, both are beautiful round brilliant stones. 0.931 VS2/F AGS 000, HCA 0.9 Whiteflash Expert Selection, and 1.007 VS2/H AGS 000, HCA 1.4, White Flash ACA.
The price difference is $900 more for the 1.007 carat, most friends have picked the 0.931 stone as being superior, but its followed by you can't go wrong with either...help!!!

Hitting the one carat mark is really a mental thing. There are a lot of people that prefer to stay right under the mark as it keeps the price lower. In this case, you are comparing an F color stone to an H color stone. Do you see distinct difference in color? I think you should buy a stone for the stone's sake - not so much for the size in this particular instance. If you prefer the smaller stone, by all means get it. You could also do some more shopping around or ask WF to recommend another stone to you in a larger size.

It really is all up to you - no one can really tell you what is best for you in this instance!

Consider if the $900 over the lifetime of the stone being set in the ring and being worn - is that worth it to save $900 over time, or is it worth it just get the mind set of a 1+ ct diamond and pay the extra $900? Its all how you think about it ;))

Only you know what is comfortable for you.

HI:

Yes, likely, more than a few folks have regrets...but they are not you. Where are you at with your budget, and other realistic variables in your life? Did you have your heart set on certain parameters...e.g F color...

While we cannot perform an exorcism ( ;)) )--we can understand your quandry. Can you look at both stones IRL--and decide from there? WF return policy is respectable.....

cheers--Sharon
