Can the naked eye see a difference in a stone w/ an HCA score of 0.9 and another stone of HCA score of 1.3 ? If so, what do you notice? (no difference in scintillation, spread, brilliance, and light return; no major difference in IS/ASET images; all proportions of table, depth, crown, pavillion within ideal AGS standards).

The HCA is an elimination tool, it can''t tell you exactly what a diamond will look like and a lower score is not necessarily better. The "ideal" score on HCA is anything under 2. A diamond that scores there is worthy of further evaluation via IdealScope &/or ASET images, photos and physical evaluation.

Ditto you will not notice any difference between the diamonds you mention from the HCA score.

Thritto.

Several weeks ago, I compared IRL two stones with HCA results ex-ex-ex against ex-ex-vg (I don''t remember the scores) for brightness-fire-scintillation and I couldn''t see any difference.

pokemom, your stone is breath-taking

Oh thanks Chapter1, it''s an Infinity 1.28 I vs1, HCA score 1.4
