Hi all,

I have searched many, many websites and selected 3 stones that I have some interest in. I could use some assistance evaluating the inclusions and the cut. There are no pictures available for these stones.

#1 2.09 ct - hca score .9 - 8.25x8.34mm
#2 2.4 ct - hca score 1.4 - 8.55 x 8.6mm
#3 2.24 ct - hca score 1.4 - 8.4x8.42mm

These are the measurements I have been using to narrow down the pool of options:
Depth 59-62
Table 53-57
Crown 34.3 - 34.8
Pavillion 40.6 - 40.9

Do you think I am eliminating options that I should not be?

Thanks a lot for your help!

All three stones are SI2/J.

With larger stones, inclusions may be more visible. I would thus suggest considering a VS2 or better. But regardless of the clarity grade you opt for, ensure that it is eye clean.

And you may want to go with an I color grade or better.

Thus, do not hesitate to sacrifice a bit of size for a higher quality stone.

Yes, I think you have narrowed crown angle down too far. Look at 34-35. And pavilion up to 41.0.

I personally would go up at least to I SI1, although we do have some members with beautiful J stones. It will be challenging, though, to sort through SI2's over 2 carats that haven't been prescreened by a vendor.
