I don''t like Dave''s recent idea of ranges. Consider sort of a carat, color ranging F - G, represented here with IGA. Not what AGS wants, right?

But...risingsun may be on to something. I''ll make a proposal. Try this as a set of grades...:

All right...this is a good idea...and a problem. We can''t have two names for a category (yummo = kicken)...since that''s the same (or worse) as Ideal and ideal. I''ll make an executive decision and put women first. Now...remember...this is AGS...so we can stretch to 10 categories...that''s fine:

All right!

B) the Fundamentals of the system(s) itself

In all seriousness...I think both Marty and Serg have parts of the correct answer. The different system for grading allows for identical grid points to have different bases for evaluation. But...this is hard for people to understand. So...we need to re-classify the new AGS system to suggest these diamonds are different...taking away the problem. We''ll call these diamonds:

You see, Marty at least twice brought into evidence...

What got complicated is my access to google during the day.

We all know...Ruffles have ridges...thus the assignment of ruffles to the new class.

What I didn''t have, though, was speaker access at my office to the day. So you would either have Wiki''s result...or what I shared earlier, via You Tube (and which rated better).

More indication here that it is Ruffles that have Ridges, with a Halloween/Godzilla/kid run wild sort of angle...

We're eating late tonight (as usual). I'm reading directions on the back of the box. I think of this thread. Why?

Consider Marty's recent point & concern:

(Size only approximate)

So I am reading the back of the box, and I am given a clear choice (think...gold & platinum). I can have have a crispier crust. I can have a softer crust. Now...just how many minutes do you think are required for each. Yes...in one case, I put the pizza right on the rack (why I don't do this), and the other, I use a cookie sheet. How long?

Crispy: 24 - 27 minutes
Softer: 26 - 29 minutes

So, when I have cooked this pizza for 26.5 minutes...do you suppose this is a soft or crispy pizza?

I hope that the many jewelers out there will take this example to heart when they wish to explain to their customers the true meaning and difference between the gold & platinum standards.
