Hi everyone,

I've been having a hard time deciding a setting for my diamond and I need some help! I'm looking for something like a "Tiffany style" solitaire setting without the knife edge.

Right now I'm looking at Whiteflash "Contemporary" Solitaire Engagement Ring, Brian Gavin Tapered Tiffany Style Half Round, and Classic Tiffany Style Half Round.

Does anyone have real life pics of any of these settings? I really love the look of BGD Tapered Half Round but I'm wondering the band will look too thin on my finger... it looks quite thin on the website.

My ring size is 5, and my diamond is a 0.6 carat RB from James Allen. Unfortunately I didn't see a setting I really liked at James Allen so I decided to get a diamond and setting separately.

The BGD tapered does look thin but the dimensions are 1.9mm width vs 2.0mm width of the classic half round. I would ask them to take a pic of them together on the same finger. It is such a tough choice they are all so beautiful... which really means you can't go wrong :))

ETA: I would also check with both as to their policies/pricing to set stones not purchased through them.

Thank you for the reply! I just asked them if they had a picture of both settings together on a same finger. This would help a lot! I'd already asked their policies for diamonds from outside and they said no problem :)

I'm wondering if the tapered Tiffany setting will go well with my wedding band. My wedding ring is being made right now, but it's going to be this one.

This is my diamond.

It appears bigger on the pics as it's set very high on a tension clasp, but the actual dimensions are 5.48 x 5.46 x 3.35.

It's so tough to choose taper or no taper... which one would you prefer and why??
