Have your Credit Card rates gone up?

Has anyone noticed if their credit card rates have gone up?

They did!! It was Bank if America too! I had a 0.99% rate and then I get a statement 2 months ago and it''s up to 10.99%!!! I called and apparently they sent a notice, which I have no recollection receiving. None the less I was able to get my rate lowered to 3.99% for a year... If you call and have good credit they usually don''t have a problem lowering it.

My bank of america went up to! And I never never carry a balance and have never never missed a payment. It went from 5.99 to 9.99. I called them and got it lowered again based on my credit score. Even though I don''t carry a balance, it was the principal of the thing! Plus, if I do ever need to carry for a month or two, I wanted to make sure it was lowered.

Mine hasn''t gone up as of yet but I''ll definitely be checking our next statement. Glad to hear you can call the Credit Card companies and get the rate down. We don''t carry a balance, but you''re right, it''s the principle.

Pay in full each month and the interest rate is immaterial

You can lock in a rate--my FIL has his entire mortgage on a credit card locked in at a 2% rate.
