Have you purchased a dress from Light in the Box?

I have seen a gorgeous dress on here from the Oscars... I''m not particualy ''bridey'' and I have always loved this dress..have read a few forums about people who have had great sucess with this site... Has anyone here ordered from them? I feel scared about this for a wedding dress, bridesmaid for sure, but wedding dress hmmm...

what did you find? I purchased a fabric booklet and that went well. I''d love to hear what you know.

those are just a few of many that popped up. read the reviews on that first one. sounds a little sketchy.
i almost got my bridesmaid dresses from there, before i read all about how poorly their dresses were made and sometimes didn''t even show up.

i''m not trying to discourage you, i would just hate for someone on here to get ripped off. if you do order from them and get something amazing, i would love to know. their dresses are obviously hot, and if they are real than i might reconsider. good luck!

I did write a long reply earlier - I don''t know why it didn''t log.

Seems they are a little hit and miss.. hmmm.

I have however emailed a few people from the site and they have sent me great actual photos of the dresses they recieved... they looked EXACTLY like the celebrity photos and they were really pleased.

I''ll keep you posted on what i decide.

Did you ever order from this site? I had never heard of it until I saw your post and I wonder for the rpice if it''s worth just buying and dress and seeing what it looks like...anyone tried them and have pictures of what the dress actually looked like?

I wouldn''t touch this company with a 10 foot pole. There is no way you can get anything resembling a valintino for under $300. Also, they refer to it as satin, but Vicroia Beckham did a photoshoot in the dress and it is clear from the different angle that there is no satin in it at all.
I understand wanting the perfect non traditional dress, but if you buy this, I serious suspect it is just $229 that you can''t spend on "the dress".

I would be VERY careful and cautious of websites like these. I speak from personal experience!! I''m planning to write up what just happend for PS...sort of a buyer beware...but I thought I''d step in here and warn ya first.

I purchased a dress (designer knockoff) from a website similar to this out of China. When I received the dress is was GROSSLY different than the original...in quality...in look...in every way. The dress was AWFUL!!! Their return policy was complete BS, too, and I ended up getting back only $134 of the $285 I spent. I actually felt lucky to get that because with a business located in China, you just never know. But, now it is my mission to warn everyone I know to NOT go this route. I''m just lucky I was only buying the dress for my rehearsal dinner and not the actual wedding, cuz if I had been I would be completely screwed!!! (excuse the language!!)

check out the reviews on project wedding as well. A lot of girls there order from Milly Bridal with some success. I''ve seen some terrible stuff come from light in the box.
