....that when you go to pick something up, and expect it to be a certian weight, that your arm flies up when you realize it''s quite a bit lighter then you thought?

DH and I were moving boxes yesterday and I bent down to pick up what I thought was a box of kitchen items. Bracing myself for the heavy box I bent my knees, got a good grip, and lifted - turns out my box had light weight dog items (toys, leashes, etc) and went tumbling back to the ground because my lifting turned into throwing the box

Lesson learned - always label your boxes!

I''m not laughing AT you I''m laughing WITH you, SB! Seriously.

Lol.... I''m sure it was a sight!

You should do a manual handling course! It will teach you how to lift correctly. One of the tips is to assess the item weight before attempting to lift.

It will save your back and blushes.

it reminds me of the time I cut nearly a foot off my hair and then went to run a brush through it the following day and forgot how short it was .. I nearly threw the brush across the room! :)

Oooh, I did that too. I also used to have the habit of pulling it to the side when I lay down to sleep, which did not work well on very short hair.

I''ve done this with a milk carton before. Thought the gallon jug was full, it wasn''t. Hit the fridge pretty hard.
