Have you ever lied about your age?

Because I had DD when I was in my late 30s, people just assume I am much younger than I really am (53). When they assume I am their age (mid 40s) or younger, I don't jump up and tell the truth. I just go on letting them believe that I am younger than I truly am.

Funny thing is when I was a teen (16) I looked much older and would often tell people I was at least 18 or 19.

Are you truthful about your age or do you find yourself subtracting a few years as you get older?

When I was a teen I used fake ID's and lied that I was older in order to get into 21 and over clubs...

Nowadays I never lie about my age (almost 38) even though I can easily pass for late 20's or early 30's. Most times I tell people I'm almost 40 because I'd rather hear: "Whoa, I never would have guessed, you look so young!" than lie about my age and have people think "She's totally in denial!"

Nope.

No, men don't have to.

Donning flame suit. :errrr:

My gay best friend made me lie about my age to cover for him lying about his age.

Hmmm, not since I was like in middle school when chat rooms were cool, but I think most people from my generation did that haha, so stupid.

Recently though? I don't think so, though I tend not to make my age public knowledge at work since most people assume I'm a few years older than I am and that's fine with me since I'm by far the youngest staff member in the department.

Not since college, though I'm getting to an age where I'd rather not advertize...if someone asks me outright, of course I tell them. If someone makes an assumption (in my favor of course!), all the better! So far though, I think that my freckles make me look younger than I am (I always hated those little suckers, so I guess I owe them an apology, lol!)....

No one has to! I never have, not for any ethical reason, but simply because I don't see any point to it or benefit to be derived. Ask me again when I'm 70, maybe. ;))

Not since I was 13... I said I was 15. Never since that time. What is the use?

All the time. I am 24 until further notice.

No, I have always looked younger. Sometimes I am tempted to add 10 years to my current age just to see their reaction but I probably would feel guilty.

No, but I color my hair. :naughty:

The funny thing is, it is sometimes the other way around... People assume I am in my late 20's/early 30's. When I say I am in my 40's, they don't believe me... I am often asked my driver's license to prove them that I am telling the truth lol.

It is flattering I have to say :)

Last year at girl's weekend in Chicago a young pup starting hitting on me. He was 24. I told him besides being married (which they never seem to care about) I was too old for him. He insisted we were the same age I simply told him not hardly. He said what you are 29? Sure whatever I said (I was 38).

Only to my youngest son...he thinks I'm 25. I guess he hasnt tried to add up the numbers yet because his older brother
is 16 which would have made me 9 when I had him.

Nope, but I'm only 26. I often wish people at work thought I was older, since it's annoying to hear "You're so young!" especially from people who are only a few years older, but if they ask me outright I tell them the truth.

No, but I rarely tell it. In fact, I really rather not tell it. :D

nope, only my size. :wink2:

Yes. I once told a man I was 12 to get into a monster truck rally for free.

It worked.

(ETA: I was 18 at the time.)

No I never have and never will. You could lie about your age (who cares what other people think?) and you wouldn't be one day younger. It seems pointless to me to try to fool people about one's age by lying about it.

Nup, I honestly don't see a need to. Your age is your age, it's just a number and can't hurt you.

Not since I was a teenager trying to get into a pub with my fake id. I don't see much point in lying about my age now. People always think I look younger than I am anyway.
