Hi,

I am trying to finalize between these two diamonds. ( 1.501 K SI1 versus 1.215 I SI1 ) Both are Brain Gavin Blue so,

Is it for you or for someone else? And how are you setting it? And if it is for someone else, what have they told you is most important to them?

It is for THE engagement ring for my girlfriend. Setting will be a fishtail pave (from brian gavin as well) I just looked at the diamonds and from a layman's perspective couldn't see the difference in color. But then. both are from their Blue collection - so it helps rather than adversely affect the color.

For next to pave I'd take the I color.

The I color one. You can begin seeing tint in J color. I would not consider K for a modern round brilliant engagement ring unless the recipient picked it out herself.

I was leaning towards the 1.215 I color as well...While the K color wasn't so obvious, honestly, I was slightly apprehensive it in a pave setting as well like you mentioned. I was tempted since it's a significant size increase for around $500.
