Our main concern is that given the size of the diamond, the inclusions on the reports will be visible to the naked eye. is that accurate or a sales tactic?

any help would be appreciated

many thanks

Hi Sunshine,

I believe you can do better than these if having a well cut diamond is a priority, which I assume it is? The first has a steep pavilion angle which is undesirable, this can cause light leakage which can be seen in the image as a darkish ring under the table.

The second is a more classic steep/deep angled stone which again can cause unwanted light leakage, we can see this as a dark ring in the image around the table, it's quite distinct from what I can see here. It's not the best method of evaluating a diamond from a photo but I do see things in both that concern me that match the flags the proportions wave. Light leakage is a concern because this can mean the sparkle and beauty of the diamonds can be negatively affected, not what you want at all.

If you would like, post your budget and other requirements and we can see what else is available that might suit your needs?
