Has anyone dealt with settings from FancyDiamondInc.?

Has anyone here ever purchased a setting from fancydiamondinc.com?

They have some beautiful settings on their site and can custom make one I may want, which would be a combined variation of a couple they show.

I have a concern however in that after speaking with them on the phone I learned that they do not do the CAD drawings or wax molds that I see from other respected custom jewelers. All ordering is done by description and a hand drawing.

Anyone with experience dealing with them would be much appreciated.

There are thousands of Jewelers to deal with, I suggest you move on. Just because an internet site posts pretty pictures does not mean they own them or have them. Yes, some deal with lists and just pictures. Ask for references see some real time jobs. Ask some of the reagulars that post on here if they can do it for you.

Thanks Corey. It's what I knew in my gut but thought I should post the question in case there were quite a few readers who had positive experiences.

I wish I had something positive to say, but these 0.2 might be better said than not:

- the prices for blues ndicate irradiated diamonds and they do not disclose it (you might want to ask for proof of color origin for your purchase, and this would mean a certificate from GIA/EGL/AGS/IGI/HRD...)

- the pictures they use for colored diamodns are 'borrowed' from Taigem.com. (you can readily compare theirs from HERE with the samples images at Thaigem from HERE). They must have Taigem's permission to do so - you could ask both Taigem if they do ever grant such persmission and if Fancy got it.

I would approach this source with caution, but there is a price for everything - and if at leats their return policy is acceptable and proves to have worked, you can always get a stone and have it identified during the return period.
