Hi! How is everyone? I have looked through a lot of threads, but cannot find anything. Does anyone know what the price range is for the Harry Winston Micropave ring? I know, I know....there are a lot of factors, but I am just curious as to a general price range. Thank You!

For those of you who don''t know which ring I am speaking of....

HAHA!! I just read through those posts but could not find anything, unless I skimmed too fast....

Yeah, I don''t think anyone is gonna give you too much in price. Its a safe assumption though that since its a respected brand that you are going to pay the markup for it.

Are you saying from the HW store itself or a replica? I think the range will vary GREATLY depending on carat size.

A 3 ct from HW himself will be $100K - a replica of similar color and clarity can be done for $50-60K.

I dont know what smaller carat stones go for but at least you can get a sense of the mark-up for getting the HW box.

i went into the HW store here in Dallas a few weeks ago to look at the split claw prong design.. the one ring i looked at was a 1.5 ct solataire for 56K.. Stone was beautiful.. this store sells to the rich and famous, and i''m not rich or famous..

I would think if you call a HW store, they could give you some prices based on the carat size, color and clarity that you desire. No need to worry about quality of cut, etc., since they wouldn''t work with an inferior stone!

I am not into name brands for rings because of the mark-up, but I really like this ring and I thought I heard once before that it was priced decently, but if it is upwards of $50,000 I would much rather have a larger stone from elsewhere. I also absolutely love Reena''s cushion halo from Leon Mege, I am thinking I like it more then the Harry Winston. I just thought it would be fun to have a name brand if it was priced well.

Well I dont know what you consider priced well but for the HW box and brand, expect to pay almost double what it would cost you for the same stone and setting. Obviously the setting may be a little off depending on who you use but if you find the right guy, like Leon (although I have read issues about his personality), you can get the same exact ring for almost half the price.

People do say that an actual ring from HW does hold its value better than a replica but I dont know since I never have tried to "sell" back a ring. I know when you sell back to a jeweler, they rarely ever give you anything close to full value. Maybe you can get more on an eBay like site but I wouldnt know for sure.

I have been to the store multiple times cannot remember exactly but the micropave rings i looked at are F VVS2 (i think F vvs2 are the lowest grade HW carries) and a 1.5ct would be more than 40,000. But the price has a little room if you decide to get a ring from them.
