Wedding Harleigh needs flower help, please...pix inside!

Hi Ladies,


It has taken me FOR.EV.AH, but I have finally managed a collage to send to my wedding planner to show her some of the flowers I might like for the wedding. Woo hoo! Before I send it, though, I thought I would beg for help from all of you lovelies here on PS. Sadly, I do not care for the bouquets I have found for myself.

Since my girls are wearing fuchsia, I would like their bouquets to stay green and cream with cymbidium orchids and tone down the pink to just the center of the flowers.

I personally would like something very bright and colorful, without going over the flower budget by choosing out of season flowers or non-tropical flowers that would need to be special ordered. I have looked everywhere for a bouquet with more fuchsia orchids rather than the green and cream that you see on the collage, but I just can''t find one as bright as I would like. I also included a picture of one that had some orange in it to show the boldness of color I would like, but not those flowers...does that make ANY sense?


What do you think of the flowers chosen so far? Please give me your honest opinions, and know that I am open to ANY and all ideas, and won''t take offense if you don''t like what I''ve put together.

I would love to see pictures of bright pink orchid bouquets, but I am at a loss! Please help!

And yes, the mothers dresses are nearly identical...it''s a long story, and I''ve given up fighting with my mother about it.

i''m posting a few just to try to get an idea of how pink you want. are you wanting it to be all fuschia or a mix of pink, cream, and green? i''m a bit hazy. any of the following even coming close?

i''m guessing that last one would be darker in person because the green orchids are usually a little brighter than that, too, but who knows...anywho...one more (i know, i said that last time, hehe)

Thanks for the links, Gypsy! Maybe I am not finding anything because I am calling them by the wrong dang name! Those orchids you posted are much closer to what I was looking for, thank you! Now if I could find them in a bouquet I like, we''re in business!

I would like it to be a fuller rounded handheld bouquet...no drapey or waterfall ones. I would like it to look like a larger version of my BM''s bouquets I posted, just in different colors.

I think Andrey may be having trouble resizing the collage...sorry for the delay everyone!

Do you like scented flowers? I, personally, like some scented flowers but my ultimate fav is Tuberose.... LOVE IT!! It is a delicate white flower which would be great as an accent and ahhh.... the smell is heavenly! It is a very popular flower in Hawaii also.

HAHAHA!! what makes that even funnier--it took me a minute to realize that i had posted the same flowers earlier, so when i saw the ones you posted, i was like, "ooooh, i like those. waaaaait a minute! i posted those!" sheesh; my cousin''s wedding is tomorrow, so after running around all day today doing last minute bridesmaid stuff, i think i''m more frazzled than the bride is!

It''s so funny, I think we both chose the same bouquet! One of the bouquet pics you put in your collage is one I showed to our florist. That one will be my sister''s (MOH) bouquet. Mine is on the left. I''m not sure I can be of help but here''s what we''re doing.

Thanks for all of the suggestions! Sorry I wasn''t able to respond earlier, I was at my FI''s for the weekend and internet usage is spotty at best! Some of those bouquets you posted are beautiful, thank you!

Too funny, Zoe! I love that we chose such similar bouquets! I was trying to go for a tropical, islandly feel, so I guess I should be happy with anything similar to what I have posted because I literally will not be seeing them until I walk down the aisle, which has me a little paranoid, actually. This is the problem with planning your wedding thousands of miles away...argh!

Skippy, (I love your new avatar...GORGEOUS!!!) I would also like a bit more color, so may add a little orange or yellow in, but I''m just not sure how that would go with a strictly fuchsia and celery green palette...I''ll have to think a bit more on that one.
