Okay this is really corny, but having new experiences makes me happy. Definitely going somewhere new or trying something new (except for trying new foods.. I''m a whimp when it comes to that!).

Whoops, forgot to post one of my own. I know - quick roadtrips. I love getting in a car and visiting someplace new for a weekend.

~my cat laying on my chest in the morning, purring to wake me up

~when i can smell the ocean or hear the sea lions barking from my apartment

~hummingbirds at my feeder

~REAL mail (birthday cards, etc) - not bills.

~the little ice cream cones with sprinkles that you can serve yourself at souplantation

~pumpkin spice lattes

~seeing the sun rising up when i fly into NY or seeing the sun setting here in CA

~when my name gets called for standby travel

~the look on a child''s face when he or she finally "gets it" when learning how to read (there''s one moment for some that is spectacular to witness)

I don''t know if this falls under the category of SOs not counting...but I was talking to non-sentimental non-music-listening Mr. Basil on Skype last night and there was this banshee noise in the background. It took me a while to figure out what it was, but it turned out he was listening to our first dance song...on continuous repeat like 20 times in a row.

Even more heartwarming cause he didn''t think I could hear him doing it

Styx. Our wedding soundtrack was basically Styx. "Babe", "Renegade", and "Lady" were the first dance, garter toss, and last dance.

Tom Petty. Seriously, the man is awesome.

Noticing how different my two babies are. (By "babies", I mean my fuzzy little feline babies.

) It's just amazing how totally different they are. I think the funniest thing is their different stance on human food; my oldest hates human food, even fish. My baby, though... the first day he was home with me, I made myself a bowl of Corn Pops, turned around to get the milk out of the fridge... and turned around to see him trotting off with a tiny mouthful of Corn Pops!! My little goofball!
