Blessings to those who celebrate Passover and/or Easter, as the holidays are both being celebrated now. Tonight is the second night of Passover and tomorrow morning will be Easter Sunday here in the United States. I believe that it already is Easter in parts of the world. Of course I also wish all that is good to people who who are neither Jewish nor Christian, too. I hope that Spring brings more happiness to the planet.

Happy Passover and Easter to those who celebrate and best wishes to all. :wavey:

Since I am waiting for a pineapple casserole to be ready to come out of the oven, even though I am late getting out of the house, I will take a moment to share. I got up quite early and took a shower even though I had gone to bed after 2:00 AM. I just felt I wanted to be clean on Easter. Then i started to clean dishes and the sink (as if i hadn't done them 12 times yesterday) and went out to do early morning errand that one couldn't have done years ago because no stores would have been open. When i got back home I started to bake. It was around 9 AM. I knew I had time pressures (we have to be at my aunt's-about a two hour drive from here-at 1 PM), but I kept getting distracted.the source of distraction: the birds and the my bread crusts.

I was supposed to be cutting the crusts off bread and cubing the bread. But I had decided to feed the birds and I got involved in watching the birds. I am not a birdwatcher. I am usually very uninterested in birds. I used to feed the ducks as a child. I used to look at birds as a child because my mother knew all the birds and pointed them out to me. But I really am just a dog person.

This morning, however, I saw blue jay swoop down to get a large piece of bread crust right away while tiny birds lined up on the telephone wires to watch. Then I saw a squirrel. Eventually I was shocked to see movement: it was a very thin snake! I kept taking breaks from my baking to watch the drama of nature unfold. And I thought about that and about Spring. And about how I perceive God.

Easter Morning

Thank you Deb for sharing that with us. Beautiful musings and wishing you a wonderful day with family. And may I add you had me at pineapple casserole despite having no clue what is in a pineapple casserole. Though I imagine pineapple plays a front and center role. Have a safe drive to your Aunt’s today and Happy holidays!

HI:

Pineapple casserole had me piqued as well! I am making cabbage rolls and cornmeal soufflé.

Safe travels Deb.

cheers--Sharon
