A lot of threads lately are making me sad/mad/anxious. So, please post something uplifting to kick off the weekend.

I’ll start! I received a beautiful bouquet from my team. It’s National Boss’s Day! So blessed to have a team that thought of me while working from home.

In other news, we finally replaced our loud clackity garage door. This was installed this morning!

My happy day this week was seeing my grandniece and two month old grandnephew. There is nothing like the giggles of a six year old and baby smiles to brighten the day.

Many reasons to be grateful. We were able to visit with my parents a few months ago (social distancing outside) and that meant the world to us. They’ve been married almost 57 years and they are the most wonderful parents.
We talk every day.



Being surrounded by beauty all around brings me joy and peace.












I’m grateful for all my loved ones and despite the challenges I am thankful for all the good in my life.

Thank you @missy : I love this picture! It is the epitome of all that is beautiful in life. My favorite flowers are actually sunflowers, and even though these are not sunflowers...they look like baby ones! Yes, I have been receiving a lot of sad/bad news that I find hard to accept, and feeling helpless about things I cannot change, but I too am thankful for the good things in my life. Wishing you the same love, sweetness, joy and peace!

Homemade soup always makes me happy.

So I realized that a box of chocolates (above) might not be very uplifting and therefore I should probably also mention that Friday is "hills day". I go to the park behind the house and run up a hill three times and then carry on with my run. By the time you've run up a steep muddy hill as fast as you possibly can, the rest of the day just seems that little bit easier.

And yay for homemade soup
