My DD graduated yesterday with a Bachelor of Medical Science in Pathology and Human Microbiology with Distinction. My father, who has so far outlined his 3 month prognosis by 6 years, is now frail and unsteady but was there with me and Mum to proudly watch the ceremony. One benefit of taking old people with walkers is sitting in the front row!
DD departed early by Public transport to get her gown and cap and socialize while we arrived later. She messaged me asked for some long pins to secure her gown, so before I left I dragged out the sewing box and found my container of needles and long dressmaking pins and….
I found my missing ruby.
How on earth, why on earth it ended up in this container will remain a mystery.
so happy days all round.
