Happy birthday to fellow sapphires!! And thanks to Skippy for the thread.

My birthday was yesterday (9/3), and I already gave myself a green sapphire ring as an early present. I had the "misfortune," however, of seeing a beautiful pink sapphire necklace in a jewelry store yesterday, because I'm supposed to be done with jewelry purchases for the year.

I know, going into a jewelry store with zero budget wasn't the smartest thing to do, but I thought, I'll just take a quick look... And there, in the display case, was a sapphire-by-the-yard type necklace with delicate pink sapphires set in 18kt. rose gold. Normally I'm not a rose gold person, but it was perfect for this particular necklace. I asked if I could try it on (again, not a smart thing to do), and it took a lot of will power not to whip out my credit card on the spot.

I can hear the necklace calling out to me now...

Sorry to go off on a bit of a tangent, but I figured -- who else but fellow Pricescopers could relate?

Thank you Linda! I had never seen a necklace like it before, with such small pink sapphires set in rose gold. I loved how delicate it looked.

Do you think maybe I can call it an "extra early" present for my next birthday?
