I had a GREAT day yesterday!! Firstly my co-workers (I shelve books at the library weekly) surprised me by a) remembering it was my birthday, b) getting me a card signed by everyone, and c) getting me a delicious mug of hot chocolate. Very sweet of them! Then some friends and I went out for Mexican for lunch and it was so good! THEN (and this is one of the highlights of the day), I TURNED IN MY ESSAY!!!! Not technically due until Friday (Oh, that''s tomorrow now, isn''t it?) but I wanted to get it done so I could have the whole weekend to relax and not worry about it. So, I turned that in, had my last class for the term, did the course evaluation, got a few gifts from my friends in class (including a beautiful silk scarf from India that my friend got when she was home in India in December), and then waited for J to show up. When he got here, he surprised me with MORE flowers--red and white roses and red gerber daisies, just beautiful!--and chocolates and an adorable card (his gift to me was just going to be contributing towards my dream digital camera, so these were all extras!), and his parents sent a card with a a surprise contribution to the camera too! THEN we went out for Thai (my favourite) and had an AMAZING meal (good Thai restaurants are hard to come by in the UK apparently), and then a bunch of friends from home called me and so did my parents and two of my friends sent me a flower arrangement and it was just really good.

ANNNNNNNND, either today or tomorrow, J and I are going to visit a castle, I think! We''ve been talking about either Warwick Castle or Leeds Castle (and if we do Warwick, we can also see where Stratford-upon-Avon where with all the Shakespearean stuff!!), and will probably do one of those tomorrow, and then on Saturday we''re going to Stonehenge and the city of Bath!!!! So I am excited!!!!!!!!!!
