Schitts creek
the charcaters start out as shallow and unlikeable but due to great character development and writiing we end up loving them as as a family they show their love for each other

Oh excellent example!!! Slow start for me but yes I definitely fell in love with them. It’s a particular brand of humour, kind of like Seinfeld or something. It’s really it’s own thing.

i had given up on it and then went back to it months latter
im so glad i did

Big Bang Theory - I have watched the entire series 3 times. I love it so much. It's hilarious and had a great end!

if you have netflex a tiny little Aussie gem called little lunch
its only very short eposodes so perfect for just before you go to bed
its about what a group of little school kids get up to at playtime

Excellent cast. Lovable show. Like SCTV (Canadian stuff).
 
Modern Family. Every episode is funny, no surprise sadness. Love Ted Lasso, but the surprise sad episodes are not what I want when I'm already having a down in the dumps day and need a pick me up.

I’ve been watching Hacks on HBO Max. It’s fabulous; not sure how uplifting it is but it’s hilarious. Definitely a dramedy. Jean Smart is wonderful (remember Designing Women?)

I like cars, so I watch cars shows. And comedians. So I watch their shows.
Uplifting, not so sure. And maybe slow moving, but not uncomfortable (no worries if you don't care about slip differential, etc). Soothing. Interesting.
