Hey Everybody!
My absentia didn’t last long, huh? Well, it turns out Lena is too shy to post, and I can’t keep in the dark.
Also: Missed you!
Lena and I fought with hand-shots for months - with some good results (people say).
Here is what we learned:
- For accurate colors we can use only the same light as for our close-ups (simple natural daylight).
- The further away we shot, the better we can show the size dimension, but colors blur, and vice versa.
- Making hand-shots is a neck & shoulder torture – one is so cramped up, it is terrible!
- The lighter the tone, the less reliable is the hand-shot in regards to color authenticity.
- Shallow stones or very lucid crystals sometimes look included on the hand (even on a washed one).
- I can’t drink any coffee before making them (hand jitters ever so slightly)
All-in-all (and given the heat I took for refusing hand-shots) I am very positively surprised.
Will be continued.
