Hand or Laser Engraving?

is one better than the other for engraving a message on the inside of a ring?

I prefer hand engraving if done by a master. Hand engraving tends to be deeper, which means it will last longer, and will give you the most options for special characters.

The drawback is hand engraving tends to cost more from the engravers that are really good.

thanks erik. approximately how long do laser engravings last? do they wear away easily and quickly?
