Does anyone have any experience with Brilliantly Engaged (formerly Engagement Rings Direct) hand forged micro pave halo settings?

Planning on purchasing a cushion cut diamond and would like advice on either using Victor Canera or BE hand forged micro pave halo settings?

The diamond will be purchased at either BE or GOG? Does that change anyone's decision on who the setting should be from?

Part of me feels like doing it all at the same place ie BE for the diamond and the setting to make it easier, but I've heard that everyone loves VC.

Thanks in advance for all the advice.

Personally I would go with Victor. AMAZING work and infact I am just in the process now of having him make me a plain solitaire setting and a pave eternity band, I already have a round emilya halo and its perfection. But I will say this I don't believe he will make a setting if the stone is purchased from GOG if its a AVC or AVR. I don't have experience with BE so I cant comment, however I have seen mixed reviews for some pave work. When I upgraded my stone from BGD I had it send to VC so although it probably easier to use the same vendor I really just think it depends on what you have your heart set on setting wise, it was worth the very little fuse/expense for me and I'd do it again in a heart beat. I don't know if you have a budget or what the price difference will be, so that may be another thing you might need to consider. Im sure you will have some more experienced PSérs chime in though. Goodluck with it all :)

I don't know what you are looking for a stone,VC sells some pretty beautiful looking diamonds.

GOG is a wonderful vendor to work with, and you can have them send the stone to BE, as well, it is not 'in-house', but not hard, either.

I'm no help on micropave, sorry, but there are lots of threads here so you are in a good place to peruse!

I'd include Steven Kirsch.

I remember PS member SB621 (who owns a fabulous Emilya halo by Victor) stating that her neigbour/friend had a similar design made by Brilliantly Engaged (formerly ERD). When they compared the quality and craftmanship the conclusion was that both vendors do excellent work. I hope SB chimes in.

I have 2 rings from Victor (the Sophia with french cut sides and a three sided pave halo) and I just got a vintage inspired ring by BE.
In both cases: perfect quality and craftmanship and a delicate yet safe feel. BE's pricing is a bit softer so that could influence your decision.

Victor only makes handforged pieces. BE does both CAD/CAST and handforged.
I would start with asking quotes. Victor will give you a discount on the setting if you also buy a stone from him. Perhaps BE offers that service as well, but you need to ask.

Also, you might want to consider Maytal Hannah as she makes handforged pieces as well. Her pave detail and precision is second to none!

That is correct. I have had 2 Emilya's from VC (on different shaped diamonds)s. My ring inspired my neighbor to get the CAST version from ERD now BE and I have to say the differences between the 2 rings were very subtle. I was actually a little upset as I paid several thousands dollars more for my VC version. If I could go back I would have ERD do it for a few reasons. One being cost and the other being that I typically live on the East coast so when I needed my ring resized or pave work tighten up it doesn't make sense for me to send to VC on the West coast.

But regardless of who you go with it will be lovely.

i have one being made now at BE so i will keep you posted. I believe there is a thread here with people posting their BE rings and settings.

There are some beautiful examples in that thread.

I will also do a search for the Victor thread...

Found it!! Here is the thread with beauties from Victor: https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/post-your-victor-canera-beauties-here.175281/

It was a great experience to work with BE. Their craftmanship is excellent and they are very customer friendly. You could have a look at my thread for full details and photo's. Mine is a right hand ring with a colored stone.
