hi, i have spent hours and hours trying to figure out what is the most important when choosing the diamond for a halo pendant, but stil can't decide and the birthday is coming.

WF have said this one http://www.whiteflash.com/hearts_arrows/A-Cut-Above-H-A-cut-diamond-292646.htm
and i was looking at this one http://www.whiteflash.com/hearts_arrows/A-Cut-Above-H-A-cut-diamond-292647.htm

but i have also seen some on angara which appear to me a few hundred $ cheaper for a comparable diamond.

Should i be looking for symmetry, colour - what i understand colour is less important in a necklace.

Any help would really be appreciated.

Saw this one on angara -
GIA
.45 ct
colur= f
clarity = vs2
cut = excellent
polish= exc
sym= exc
4.94-4.95* 3.07mm
depth =62.1
table =55%

and its $964

Hi aj,

It's hard to say on the stone from Angora, as you don't have the PA's, and no pics.

The two from WF are of course nice being ACA's, and either of them would be fine. Also not much difference in size.

If you are wanting a bigger size, this stone would be nice also, and in a well cut stone, you can go down a bit on color.

I would stick with stones that have more info to ensure you get a great stone.

Absolutely!

So is the most important thing the cut?

Absolutely. That is what makes or breaks a good diamond. Not color, and not clarity (until you get WAY down the ladder)
