Being that halloween is just a few days away, I thought it would be fun to start a halloween thread where we can share our spooky/funny stories, some old costume choices, maybe pictures of pets in their costumes, etc.

I''ll start:

One halloween we were sitting in my mother''s living room that faced a man made lake. We noticed something that looked like a person''s head floating in the water. We figured it was just a joke thrown in there by the guys in the neighborhood so my cousin and I went to go check it out. As we got closer, it started moving. We screamed and ran back home (cousin sprained her ankle in the process).

Turns out it was just a duck with its head under water

You two are way too funny! I love those costumes.

Nothing here to share. I was going to dress up as Marilyn Monroe, but the wig''s a mess and the dress is a little chilly to be wearing. Oh well. Maybe I''ll leave the wig as-is and go as Courtney Love.

im going to a party as tinker bell, i know, i know, but i always wanted to and i got a free costume. and not to thread jack but husband cant think of anything he wants to be. any suggestions? he is a mans man if that helps

I''m embarrassed to admit that DH and I are dressing as a cop and an inmate this year. I found a sexy cop outfit today for 50% off and couldn''t pass up the deal.

I was trying to think of a good literary costume, but it''s difficult to think of something that would be recognizable. The best I could find was Catcher in the Rye--wear a catcher''s mitt and stick rye bread all over you. Sounds a bit yucky.

I once dressed up as figures of speech in high school. I had a ton of them all over me, it was great. Not many of my peers got it, though. What nerds.

Radiant...how about peter pan?? That''s the first that came to mind. Or if he wants a more manly costume (as in not wearing tights) then how about captain hook?

Haven-LOL
