Half Circle Band (Tiffany Novo vs Cartier)

Hi everyone,

I am getting my wedding band replace, and I've looked at both Tiffany and Cartier online, but only Tiffany in person. I fell in love with Tiffany Novo, I also love the Tiffany channel eternity ring but unfortunately my ring size is only 3.5 and they do not recommending resizing the smallest size 4 down. The Novo, I can totally do it.

What do you think of this combo? See pic.. my engagement ring is the 6 prong tiffany-esque setting, not too big, so I don't want the band to over power it.

Cartier on the other hand has their smallest ring size at 2.X, so definately will be able to get an eternity ring, but it's significantly more expensive.
I know you may all say, i can get it from Leon or white flash for cheaper, but i really would prefer this ring to be from Tiffany or Cartier, it makes me feel better (silly, isn't it?)

Any opinion on this? Do you think the Novo looks good with my engagement ring? I don't know why this image shows up upside down... sorry

They will and should be remaking it for you in your size, NOT resizing an existing ring. If they're not doing that, I would be calling NYC about that. My favorite bands (at least those under 3mm) come from Tiffs and Kwiat I think designwise. I have been in Harry Winston, Graff, Cartier, Tiffany, VCA and Marshall Pierce (?) in Chicago over the weekend, and frankly, of all the stores I was in, Tiffanys was the best looking of any I saw, design AND workmanship. I did not care for the Cartier designs, though the other store...Pierce, they had a fewt hat were gorgeous. I found Graff and HW to not be particularly amazing workmanship, quite sloppy. And I didn't loupe ANYTHING. The Graff ones esp. And for $5800...that's unacceptable.

For tiffany to make your ring in your size? shouldn't cost anymore than normal.

Do you mean if i want the legacy, they will make one at size 3.5 but charge the same price if I buy a size 4 off the display?

You'd have to call Tiffany to ask that. I wear the 2mm Legacy band and I really love it! But I really love all their bands!

They would probably charge the same or a little less than a size 4, but like DS said, you need to call and inquire.

I called them and they said they will have to put in the order since its custom made, then they will give me the invoice and of course I can approve or not approve it, that's when they would know the price. That's weird??
