Hi guys! Long time, no post here.
I'm making my best effort though! My wedding is 98 days away, according to the knot, haha. So you'll still see me around. Work + working out + cooking healthy at home = not much spare time.
I'm in my cousin's wedding next weekend, she's giving us certificates for getting our hair done that day as our gifts. And I'm so unexperienced with having hair professionally done. So this is where you lovely, creative ladies come in!
She said we can do whatever style we want - updo, half up/half down, whatever. And I have no idea what to do.
I'm attaching a photo at the bottom of my hair, how it's done day-to-day. My hair's turning darker, so it's a bit hard to see in the pic. But it's quite curly - loose curls, not tight. And it blows out and straightens well, as long as it's not humid out. I know I'm not supposed to wash my hair the morning of having it styled, so I was thinking about washing it the night before and just not putting any product in it, then heading to the salon and let them do whatever I choose with it - it'll be frizzy and crazy, but straighter and easier to work with, if I do that. The only kink is that she wants us all to come to a "floating brunch" that morning (I'm undecided about it) but I'd have to get up and do my hair that morning in order to go. Which would either mean putting the normal loads of gel in it and going curly, which would make it much harder/yuckier to style later with all that product in it... or I could blow it out and straighten it with the flat iron, which before has made it so sleek that it can't be styled in an updo.
Anyway, I guess I'm half looking for advice on what I should DO with my hair first, especially if I end up going to that brunch... and half looking for creative updo ideas, either for possibly curly hair like below, or for hair that's blown out and this length (goes in a ponytail but lots of shorter layer flyaways). Thanks!!!
