from your hubby or bf? if yes, what was that item?

time for coffee,then lunchtime!!

When I was married I would hide food all the time because he was the food police with me. Not really junk food so much. Even healthy stuff like Amy''s frozen meals. If I ate anything the had one morsel of fat or was in the slightest unhealthy he would be SO judemental. I knew it was a huge huge problem when my daughter (without me realizing it) based on her seeing how he would treat me when he saw me eating something he did not approve of, said to me when I took her out for icecream after dance ''Lets not tell daddy because he will get mad you ate that''. Ahhh, never again.

I will never allow that to happen again.

Wow, that''s so awful! That''s so controlling. I have the opposite problem, my husband brings home my favorite treats to surprise me all the time, and 10 pounds later I''m wishing he would stop!

No.

Sorry, but if you have to hide things you buy, there's something really wrong

ETA: And yes, our finances are fully joined.

Nope, but he probably wouldn''t notice unless it was a big ole piece of blingage!

Don''t know if this counts, but I''ve hidden food from my dh! Some junk food, if he knows it''s there, he''ll eat it all, and I''ll eat a bunch just to get some before he eats it. But if it''s there and he doesn''t know it, I can eat a little at a time instead of gorging myself!

Nope, and I agree that if I did it would be a problem. We keep separate finances but even if we didn''t if either of us felt compelled to hide, it would suggest there are bigger problems.

Nope, no hiding purchases in this house. Neither of us spends much and we''re upfront about it when we do. I can''t think of a circumstance where it would be necessary or even make sense to do so.

We have joint checking and we do not have/use any credit cards. Even if I wanted to my husband would find out. I have to admit sometimes I miss my single days of reckless shopping....BUT being debt free feels so much better.

No. I am Catholic and am used to a full weekly confession. This carries on to my daily life as well. I also have a daughter who must "confess". lol

Apart from presents I bought for him and lingerie for me (that''s also supposed to be a surprise for him

) I''ve never tried to hide anything.

I have a makeup addiction. I do sometimes bin the boxes before I get home so he doesn''t realise I''ve bought "another" blusher, or "another" lipstick!

Antique dolls mostly.
I don''t really hide them just kind of
keep them under the radar till I can
truthfully say they aren''t new (to me)

That Dancing Fire is always trying to find out our secrets! I think we will have to start a few threads to uncover his!!! (just keep those toes under wraps!)

um....furniture. my husband never goes upstairs and i am finishing up our 4yr old''s bedroom. he did not see her fabulicious armoire for about 3 weeks after delivery(he did approve)

(I''ve actually been really good - only purchase w/in the last three months was compact face powder. I use to buy about 10 items a month!)

No, but this website might make me start:-) JK, but if we had more discretionary income, I could start a very serious jewelry habit
