I'm shopping for an upgrade for my engagement ring. The center stone is a 100-faceted round brilliant diamond bought over a decade ago, called a "centillion cut." I like it, it's flashy and has a lot of scintillation.

I'm thinking about getting side stones and a new setting for it. If I were to do a 3-stone ring with two RB H&A side stones, do you think this would look really weird? It's hard to capture the facet pattern of the existing diamond (what would be the center stone) on camera, but it is generally lots of thin facets that converge in the center. It pre-dates the H&A pattern. It's not chunky faceted, either. Similar to the look of the Leo diamond, but with more facets. It reflects a lot of white light, smaller flashes of fire.

There's no way to match the facet pattern of the side stones to my existing diamond, the existing stone is a branded cut that is not sold anymore. Would it look odd to have .32-ish ct. side stones that are H&A patterns with my existing stone? It seems like everything is H&A anymore. With that small a size, and the side stones matching, do you think it would be okay?

Here is a picture of the Leo diamond, which has a facet pattern similar to my existing stone.

I think it would look fine. Then your 100-facet stone would be the brightest focal point of the ring.
