Hi All,

Just want to say first that this is an awesome website. I''ve been reading all the tutorials on how to buy/look at diamonds.

I have found a diamond using the ideal cut search that I think I want to purchase, but there is a cloud plotted and the information I find in the forums seems to swing both ways as far as being okay or not okay.

The diamond is F, VS2, AGS Ideal, H&A, polish and symmetry are ideal. BrilliantScope shows very high on brilliance, sparkle, and fire. The AGS report plots a cloud and a crystal. Is the cloud anything to worry about?

More specs, in case you need them.

Table: 55.21%
Depth: 61.75%
Crown: 34.53 degrees
Crown Depth: 15.3%
Pavillion: 40.81 degrees
Pavillion Depth: 43.10%

Thanks in advance! I have another question, but I''ll start another thread for that.

Numbers look good. No worry about a VS2 cloud. Should not be visible or affect the optical performance of the stone. If you worry, give the vendor a call and discuss it with them.

Thanks! I appreciate your feedback/input. I''ll do just that and give them a call.

Check with the vendor, VS2 clouds shouldn't usually be a problem but it is much better to check, sometimes they can be an issue in SI1 or SI2 and as VS2 is only one grade above SI1 personally I would want to check to be on the safe side. One of our experts said words to that effect recently, VS2 clouds should be ok but if it were a diamond he was buying he would absolutely want to check it out thoroughly.

The diamond looks great also, if it is with the vendor I think it is they will have provided you with all the images needed and h&a images?
