When I saw this thread, for a second I had forgotten that DF had passed...then it hit me.

I never work on CNY and my birthday, and check for their dates and days of the weekend 5 years ahead so that I could book the days off from work well in advance.

i always take Otago anniversary day off (the proper day 23rd March, not the monday closest) living in the north island this always made my supervisors laugh, but its a day thats important to me and the history of my family
