Guess what I got to see?

So I was in Smyth the other day just looking around and I got the NICEST sales lady who actually took out the 7 carat hearts on fire loose stone for me to look at.

Wow I would have loved to have seen that beauty! My local jeweler brought in the Hearts on Fire people for a trunk show and they had an incredible D color flawless 2 carat HOF diamond that was amazing so I can only imagine what a 7 carat must look like!

Kaleigh - I want to say that it was close to $200,000.00 !!!!!!!!! Can you imagine???!??!?! They also had really teeny tiny ones that they said were qute inexpensive and could be used in designing a setting. The pricing on them seemed to be pretty decent though. They had a mounting there that had about .80ct''s of HOF stones for about $3k! Not too bad! They were gorgeous!

FireGoddess - It was a loose stone!!! I did try on the setting I mentioned to Kaleigh...they are sooo pretty! I''m glad I got a bored sales lady hahah she took it out and set it out for me to look at...it wa HUGE!!! Whoever gets that rock is veeeeerrrrryyy lucky!


Sundial - I was impressed. I''ve seen other diamonds, like the Leo where they say it''s so exceptional, but it doesn''t really seem all THAT exceptional to me, but these HOF ones were incredible! And yes the 7ct was AMAZING!!! I think I probably drooled a little!

I think I''ve seen it, though not out of the case! FI and I were in Smyth this summer "glancing" at stones and he said "NO!" to that one, not realizing that it wasn''t your "typical engagement ring stone". I said, "oh, ok...." sigh...

It was gorgeous!

No my finger length is very short so there is not enough room between my knuckle and the first joint for 7 cts. But as a pendant it does have possibilities...

Yeah, I could maybe see it as a pendant. A BIG one.

I probably wouldn''t wear a 7ct. I tried on a 5.77 which was for sale at auction and it was so mega huge. I just could not see myself wearing that around. It was an F, SI1 with a cert. Sold for 80K plus auction premium.

You really don''t need me to answer this, but I wouldn''t wear a 7 ct. diamond. I''d rather trade it for a few 2 ct. ones in various shapes!

I think it sounds awesome! I actually cannot answer easily since I wear a 9 carat emerald cut pretty much every day, and I am used to it at this point, but it really depends on some issues. It must have been gorgeous! Did they have any setting ideas?
