It isn't just any jewelry class - it is in Revere Academy! The Revere Academy is absolutely top notch and very respected.

If anyone in the East Bay wants a longer course I recommend the Walnut Creek rec classes. They are 8-10 weeks long for the hours once a week. The first round was taught by a woman who used to work at Van Craeynest and the second round was taught by an excellent instructor who comes from a family of jewelers. The second instructor actually teaches at Scintillant, which is in SF. But if you don't mind learning in a more casual environment for a great price ($177 for 10 weeks) I can't say enough about the Walnut Creek rec courses.

Mozo: Thanks for posting that Groupon for Revere! While Walnut Creek sounds like you can't go wrong either and is a great bargain, Revere Academy has a whole program from start to finish and offers more than just fabrication classes. Anyone who is seriously interested in the gem/jewelry trade should consider Revere Academy and the great intro that the course would provide.
