They have chairs marked off

But they have absolutely disgusting and nasty laden water fountains all over the place. No warnings and not blocked.

Why are they even allowed in hospitals?
One office I worked at reduced their cold/flu rates by a huge amount by removing them.

Karl, I struggled with opening this thread.
I though you were gonna post ER pics of car accident humanburger, punctured eyeballs, removed colons, and malignant tumors. :knockout:

Whew!
It's just a water cooler.

I suppose you can always complain.

hahahahaha
I changed the topic to make it sound less graphic.

Those things are germ containers at the best of times let alone with COVID - 19, I'm surprised they haven't thought of that.

Well you could do that, or you could post ER pics of car accident humanburger, punctured eyeballs, removed colons, and malignant tumors. :lol-2:

Yuck! I have never trusted those things! Even as a kid, I was that "weirdo" who refused to drink from the fountain after PE or during recess.

Gary unfortunatly had reason to visit the ER durring lockdown - i had to stay in the car , only 5 people were allowed in the waiting room and as Gary has risk factors he got taken straight in (a nurse meets people outside the atrium of the ER front entrance) but i know from past visits our small regional hospital provides paper cups with their water coolers

the covid 19 testing tent is way on the othet side of the car park
i know we have been incredibly fortunate to live in a town with only 7 cases, all self isolating and 5 of those cases out in the country

stay safe every body

Sad for a hospital of all places!

My doctor’s office and grocery stores & Lowe’s disabled them here early on.

Lady from the hospital called to follow up with me. I mentioned the water fountains to her.
She was shocked that they hadn't taken care of them and even more so that I noticed.

Kudos to you Karl.
You well may have saved lives.

I wish more people would pay attention.
People are dying.

I’m shocked too. Every health care facility here was required to remove or barricade off anywhere that would normally be offering food or drinks. So no water coolers or fountains or coffee stations or muffin carts, nothing. BYOB or youre out of luck. I’m surprised this isn’t the case where you are given the much higher numbers than we’ve had here.

In non-covid19 times most doctors' offices that offer water do so with the water jugs that dispense water through spigots into paper cups. I have no idea what the protocol for eating and drinking in doctors' offices is now. I wouldn't do it.

Those are just as bad as water fountains. My office had water dispensers with spigots like that, and people would shove water bottles up to it so the spout touches the lip of their bottles. Given how few people actually wash their bottles between refills, you can imagine how well these things spread disease.

Ugh, we still have water coolers at the schools in our district, and I was always totally skeeved out every time I walked by and saw the kids using them. And this was BEFORE Covid.
