Greek PSers--Is this a cultural thing?

I''m wondering if I''m experiencing a clash of cultures here, and I''d like your input.

Is it customary in the Greek community to send pre-printed thank you cards for big events rather than handwritten thank you notes?

I''m not Greek, and I don''t know if it''s a custom - but I did attend a (Big Fat) Greek wedding a few years ago, after which the bride and groom sent pre-printed thank you notes (not even a handwritten signature!).
