Anyone frequent what they feel is a great weightloss/exercise site complete with forums/articles/etc? I''ve been doing fairly well on my own but I''ve hit a bit of a mental plateau and I need some encouragement and motivation. I have found a few but they move soooooo slowllllyyy... I need some action!! LOL I see we''ve got a weekly workout thread going but I''m looking for a large resource for dieting/recipes/etc. I''m down about 60lbs from summertime and went from the overweight point to a normal weight but I still have soooo much work to do and understand that weight has been and will always be a challenge for me.

Anyone have any suggestions?!?

i love sparkpeople.com which is a community that also has articles, recipes etc. you can also determine how many cals you should be eating for what you do, their articles are pretty good.

and also cookinglight.com has all their recipes online as well.

Way to go on the weight loss so far! It sounds like you''ve done a fantastic job and should be very proud.

I think you and I are in similar places - I''m down just shy of 50 lbs, and have gone from overweight to (the high end of) normal, but still have considerable work I want to do. Like you, I know that weight will always be a struggle for me - my whole family is overweight to obese, despite healthy habits, so I''m trying to get on top of the problem early in my life so that hopefully it won''t be *quite* as tough later on.

Honestly, I surf around to a lot of different resources. Sparkpeople is cool - the forums are reasonably active, although there are so many different ones its hard to keep track. I lurk on the WWT, though I''ve not had time to post regularly there as of late, lurking helps keep me motivated and give me ideas, especially for healthy snacks.

I might also check out the website for Self magazine - they had some tasty-sounding recipes. I think that whole section of their website (forums, recipes) is a work in progress still, but the magazine is really fun to read and usually has good ideas so I figure its worth following as they develop it.

Let me know if you find others - I"m always looking for good ones!

BodyBuilding.com is great for the articles I''ve learned a lot of great things about my form on that website.
