Hi Everyone!
Our little PS community has been incredibly supportive throughout this whole ordeal and I want to express my deepest gratitude. I'm so happy to have you all in my life. The shower of genuine kindness, concern, compassion and warmth that you all have shared is truly awe-inspiring. It is an honor to get to know you all a little better and to feel the genuine goodness and humanity that is so strikingly prevalent here. It wraps around me like a warm blanket. I cannot adequately express how important this has been to me in such challenging times.
So, thank you all!
With that, I thought I'd share a little update on my situation. While there is no official word yet, there are whispers that negotiations are going well and policies and procedures may revert back to what they have been for so many years. Scores of my colleagues from around the state came together and voiced a unified concern that seems to have been heard. There has been an unofficial response and it seems we may be able to start billing normally again and that those submissions will (eventually) get reimbursed. Timelines and back-pay are yet unclear, but my colleagues and I remain hopeful.
For me, there is a larger message here. As our world enters strange new transitions, we can still find genuine strength and support through the relationships and communities we participate in and help build.
Thank you all for being such a wonderful, kind and supportive bunch of human beings...and thank you for just being genuinely good people.
Warmly,
Dr.D
