i found all of these on zappos for less that $200

I''m not a fan e/t those are really in now. The only ones I really like are the second to last pair....

I recently bought two pairs - one in burgundy and another in black, they are like Victorian boots and they have really pointed toes, cute little chunky curved heels, laced ribbons up the front with brass eyelets and zippered sides. They are the CUTEST!

I've been on the fence about these 'cause I remember ALL TOO WELL wearing them the first time (for about a decade straight I might add).

But I did see two pairs recently in the J.Jill catalog that made me go "Hmmmm?"

This one is pretty reasonable, low heel, vintagy detail.

Here ''tis.

And this one was kinda cool ''cause the lacing is up the back ... I didn''t WEAR THOSE in the eighties!

Those are very similar to mine Deco, but the heels are higher.

the tall ones aren''t too bad, kinda cute actually with the right outfit...but the short ones...nooooo!!! those will always remind me of madonna in who''s that girl. hehee.

Soooo not a fan of the short ones, but I do like the long ones okay!!

the long ones are def cute. i saw an ensemble in lucky mag that was cute and i had the right stuff for -- empire goddess dress like the ones below layered OVER a thin long sleeve sweater with really long thin/not too bulky knit scarf scarf and boots. super cute, on the model anyway, we''ll see how well i pull it off. i wish my scanner was working. anyway, thought that was a great way to stretch my sping wardrobe to fall, and cute with some lace-up knee/calf length boots. thanks for the input...i''m gonna go check out these sites! oooh...and the boots might be cute with some winter capris and a turtleneck sweater in some neutral colors, no patterns too keep it from looking too busy. hmmm ideas to justify buying another pair of boots.

anytime I want to buy something trendy that may not last into next year - I look to spend the least amount of $ possible

Newport News - $49.00

I hear the ankle-length ones are going to be very "in" this fall.

I''ll pass on that one, thanks. But, I think the tall ones will look nice with fall''s long skirts.....a timeless look, not painfully trendy.
