My favorites pastime is hunting for ROCKS and stones. It has been my hobby for the last 25 years and I have collected lot of specimens. ( Agates, jadeite, carnelian, rough diamonds, bloodstones, Herkimer diamonds, amethysts, 60,000 carats of Rhodolite Garnets which I planned to make a coffee table, etc ).
The picture attached, the 9 CT ruby is a gift from my Grandpa (1902-1985) who bought this in the year 1964-65 from Burma Repatriates to Vizag, a coastal town of India. There were hundreds of repats from Burma who arrived by ship to Visakhapatnam, and my grand pa has been buying crockery, porcelain ware and all other stuff which was exquisite compared to what we get in India. This ruby was a prized possession of one of those repats who did not want to sell to him, but finally did after a long persuasion. This Ruby was part of the other jewelry and as it was not mounted in any setting, we ignored it all the time after my Grand pa passed away in 1986. I have been so much fascinated with the Ruby that I researched a lot about rubies and their properties. I just signed up to Pricescope and headed to the Graff 8.32 CT ruby. Will send more pics in a few hours from now

Very much appreciate any suggestion.
Thanks again,
