So,
Finally, my journey has ended and in SUCH AN AMAZING way. First off, thanks a million to Quest Jewelers - I specifically worked with Huan and he nothing short of awesome to work with through this project. He was constantly on top of things, always replied to my questions and concerns promptly and I am very satisfied with their customer service. They did an ABSOLUTELY AMAZING job on the engagement ring I had custom made for my girlfriend to propose with in just a short time.

For those that don''t know the back history, I had been looking around for a custom indepedent jeweler shop to replicated a Scott Kay setting. I finally came across Quest, spoke with Huan, and the journey began.

Long story short, the project is complete and it looks BEAUTIFUL. I can stress it enough. The diamond centerpiece is blinding in sunshine it has so much fire, sparkle and flash.

I am attempting to get pictures, but it''s with a regular digi camera and the pics are not coming out well at all

I am still attempting to get pics, as those speak more than words.

Some stats:
Scotty Kay three row, semi mount (4 prong) ...
The centerpiece is a .72, D, VS1, Signature Ideal Cut, ex-polish, ex-symmetry, no flour, no cutlet
The side stones and two surprise diamonds are all F/VS clarity with signature ideal cuts, totaling .81 ct ... together, the total ring ctw is 1.53.

Thanks again to Quest Jewelers in Fairfax, VA ... if you guys want an engagement ring or ANYTHING done to your jewelry ... GO TO THEM! Thanks again, Huan!

Pics will be up as best I can with the crappy camera I have ... but this ring is to die for. I can NOT stop looking at it. I don''t how I''m going to wait for a while longer to give this her, I don''t know if I will be able to bear it!!

Here''s a blurry pic ... I am trying to get the pics I can with what I have

But it''s a digi so they''re not coming out so clean...

You can see the ridiculous fire of the ring ...

Going outside and around the house to see if I can snap some more focused pics ... anybody know some way to make the pics more focused?

To get more focused pics try putting your camera in macro mode (it should be a little flower button press).

The ring looks beautiful :)

Use "macro" mode on your camera, if it has one.

I''m going to see if I have that macro button on my camera ... never used it before so I don''t know if I do ... thanks for the tips guys ... here are a couple more ... a little better, right?

Looks great from what I can see. Turn off the flash if you haven''t already. I hope you can get some clearer pics, I really want to see the detail of the setting.

I''m getting better at taking pics :) I''ll probably be taking them all day ... it''s great being off every other Friday, you seem to get a lot done

Hahah. Those dimensions are the dimensions of the stone?

Really wish to see the details on the ring. Saw your inspiration pics. :)

Good luck.

Stone-cold,
Not sure what you mean by "those dimensions are dimensions of the stone?"

The numbers jotted into that notebook in one of the pictures.

Haha, no, those are from a stone I saw someone was interested in on PS and wanted to help them out ...

Here are the specs of my stone from the GIA report ...
