Got the ideal scopes. Help me pick from these three

So I've gotten the gemologist report from james allen on three of my top stones and wanted to get some feed back. Here are the three stones:

(.69 ct J-SI2, $1,570) - Coming in a close second, this J color diamond faces up closer to an I with no visible yellow coloration or warmth from the face-up position. There are no structural integrity issues with this diamond, and the SI2 feathers are on the girdle and pavilion so they can be covered by prongs. None of the inclusions are eye visible, and the overall faceting and cut proportions are fantastic.

what are everyone's thoughts based on this info?
I more than likely will order at least two to compare in person, but would prefer to keep it to that

Are the stones on hold? Can you give us links to the stone?

I would be tempted to go for size especially since the J faces up closer to an I and I'm not that color sensitive...meanwhile I
have big fingers (6 3/4).

Do you know if you are color sensitive?

Yes, I've been playing around with that comparison myself (I'm a size 6). At this point, I think I'm between the G and the J, and it really comes down to size vs. color. But idk if im color sensitive, the only local store with GIA cert stones that I've found has really weird lighting and even the f they were showing me looked kinda yellow to me. But I couldn't really tell much difference between the F and the I they showed me, so I guess that means I'm not?

It's a nice looking SI2. Seeing them didnt help change my mind. They all look nice. 6 3/4 isnt hugh (well not in my book)
but there are lots of PSers that have tiny fingers. (yes, I'm jealous )

So...tough call...I wish you should see a well cut J somewhere to know whether it will bother you are not. Have you seen
the GOG video on color. If not, that would be helpful.

Idk, I don't really know anything about 60/60 stones. I read the article you posted but it didn't really seem to point out any resulting characteristics, positive or negative. Do you happen to know if there are specific advantages or disadvantages to a 60/60 stone?

The 60/60 diamond has a larger table than the others. This will be obvious to the naked eye. A wellcut 60/60 diamond can open up the bright middle of the diamond, thus gaining a bit of light performance while losing a little scintillation.

(I have a pair of earrings, one stud has a large table, the other a small table, and it is interesting to do a side by side comparison.)

All 3 are terrific performers. I'd go for size too. Every hundredth of a millimeter counts.

Tyty333, thanks for all your help. I've seen the top GOG video you posted, but I watched the one below it last night, and honestly, I couldn't tell a difference, even between the J and the G! So hopefully that's the case in real life, cuz i'd definitely prefer an almost 3/4 ct stone vs a little over 1/2 ct stone.

Daniel, does a 60/60 stone effect fire? I honestly don't care too much about scintillation, but tons of fire is a must!


Now it's just a waiting game, and I literally can't wait! JA is saying they should be able to have them shipped and received by Sat, which means I'll have them in hand on Sun because I'm having them shipped to my mom in VA so that I don't have to pay sales tax as a MD resident. Hope hope hoping that they actually come Saturday since we already have plans to see my mom on Sunday, if they come after that, we'll have to make a special trip to get them and I don't know when we'll be able to. And of course, JA is totally stressing me out now, calling my phone asking for my bf (who's at work) so they can verify his identity. Just hoping it doesn't get delayed!!

Would also put the stones through the paces with all the typical lighting environments: indoor with mixed artificial and natural light, outdoor sunny day, outdoor cloudy day, outdoor in the shade of tree, bathroom fluorescent lighting, Costco store lighting etc.

You'll find out which stone you prefer.

How do I do this safely, without risking dropping or losing a stone? The idea of taking these diamonds out in public unset petrifies me

The 60-60 isn't likely to give as much fire as the other two stones, and based on proportions the I is probably going to be the best performer with its steeper crown.

The other consideration between the I and J which no one has mentioned, is the presence of fluer! The rep hasn't noted any milkiness/haze which is a good thing, but is a diamond that turns blue under UV something you seek?

Ultimately, its up to you how you choose. None of the IS images look bad.

Excellent...best way to tell if the color is going to bother you or if you are ok with it.

I have a small J in a pendant and it's a lovely stone.

I didn't order the I for viewing, just the other two, because I didn't really feel comfortable being responsible for three stones, and it was the most expensive and least highly valued by the gemologist.

But I think florescence is a good thing, assuming it doesn't cause haziness. I kinda like the idea of my diamond glowing under black lights (not that I spend a lot of time in black light... lol).

I'm not sure how I'd feel about SI2 feathers around the girdle either.. but that's just from what the rep has said. Haven't looked at the grade setting inclusion or any maps.

Either way, it'll be a great experience having both the stones there to compare for a bit and should help you narrow down exactly what you're looking for.

Reading the thoughts attached to the stones it appears that the G and perhaps the J both have a bit more spin attached, and are up selling a bit. The I is just exactly what you'd expect it to be.

But really, at this stage of narrowing down we're really getting into nuances and personal taste. Neither will look bad.
