got my rings today and they look great (i''ll post pics eventually), but I noticed there is a tiny dot where it looks black and upon closer inspection it seems to be like there is a little cavity near the prong (or missing prong?) of one of the melee stones. I don''t know exactly what it is. I pulled up the photo of the ring and I think you can see it in there too - at first I thought this was just a reflection of the camera but turns out it''s not. The rest of the melee looks great and light is reflected fromt he stones or the metal over the full surface except for that one little dot. I''ve attached a pic. Any idea of what it could be? Think WF will fix it? I''d hate to pay for shipping there/back. I''m going to email them now though.

Absolutely, and they will most likely pay shipping as well.

another zoomed in image. again - you can see this pretty easily with the naked eye so that's why i'm considering it an "issue".

and I guess the real question is - is it POSSIBLE to fix this kinda thing? I'm sure i'll here back from them soon but maybe someone here knows the answer or has had a similar thing happen.

They''ll do their level best to fix it. They really care about their customers. I hope it can be fixed. If not they''d have to make a whole new setting?? I dunno. You''ll hear from them soon. Or why not give them a call, it''s toll free.

Ditto. They will fix it.

DB, I''m not quite sure what that spot is either, but no worries at all.

You should be hearing from Jamie via email if you haven''t already; he''ll be sending label for you to ship it back to us on our dime so we can inspect it and correct whatever has to be corrected. No worries.

ok got an update - they got back to me really quickly and said that it appears to be a missing prong/blob of metal that is supposed to hold the melee stone in place. They are going to send me a shipping label soon and they said it should be a very easy and quick fix.

I'm just hoping that none of the other prongs/blobs break off easily

that kinda makes me nervous that it happened ... but I'm also hoping it was a right-after-manufacturing event and not something that happens w/ normal wear and tear.

but the ring really is lovely and looks MUCH better in person than in the photos so I'll try to take some better pics when I get it back and its all fixed up

It probably didn't fall off, they set each stone individually, so it's likely that that stone was missing a "blob" to begin with. I am sure WF will stand behind their work in the unlikely event that it's a reoccurring issue.

glad it is working out

so they worked on it very quickly - recieved it, fixed it up, and shipped it all in one day, So I got it back this morning.

Turns out it was actually a piece of fabric or something stuck in there which is kind of weird, but they pulled it out and polished up the bead and its all better now. =)

so now that I think everything is finallllyyyy done (after 2 months from beginning to end), most of my posts will be in the ''show me the ring'' board. for a limited time only, you can view 3 videos I took here!!

thanks to everyone for their help and support through my custom ring making process! i''ll be writing a full detailed review of WF and PS and the custom process in the near future so look out for that (it''ll mostly be helpful for others considering WF or doing a custom ring)

Yay! Glad it was fixed so easily and quickly. Congrats!!!

glad you are getting it resolved. The ring is gorgeous, please let us see more when you get it back.

My ex owned a jewelry store so I can tell you that the "fabric" bit is actually fairly common. You see when you buff (polish) a ring, you do it on a buffer that turns like a lathe. It has fabric wheels that you apply rouge (polishing compound) to. Over use the wheels become more frayed and occasionally a thread snags under a prong. Normally these would come out in the ultrasonic but yours slipped by

Glad to hear it turned out to be nothing after all
