Hello all,
My bf and I got engaged last night, and he presented me with a lovely Asscher! I couldn''t be happier, as he picked it out himself. Here''s a link to the stone. What do you all think? He set it in the simple, 4-prong comfort fit setting. So many possibilities for a wedding band. My head is swimming!

This pick was not aided by Storm (I didn''t ever see my bf post), but I''d like to think that it''s still a good choice. It sparkles like no tomorrow. I''ve had difficulty getting clear pictures. Any advice?

Thanks for reading!

congrates!!!
The corners and windmills are small so its more of a square step cut and there is nothing wrong with that if you love it!!!
congrates!!!

I did notice the corners were small (you can''t see them behind the prongs), but I love that I can see right down to the bottom with no inclusions or anything else to distract. What makes the windmills small? Let me clarify: I can visually see that they''re small, but what about the cut made them that way? It was rated as an Ideal cut by JA (which I know can vary), but just for my knowledge, how do you achieve large windmills?

They just keep polishing the facets that make up the windmill longer.
That polishes away more rough and results in wider windmills.

Beautiful stone BTW, congratulations.

Wider corners and carry the width into the pavilion makes for wide windmills.
The solid red lines are the pavilion facet outline for an asscher.
One set of the facets that form the windmills are circled in blue.(there are 4 sets)
