Goodness... more problems with my ring...

So I had my new princess cut ring prong break off about a month ago. It caused a chip.. I have a picture in this thread (https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/chipped-princess-what-to-do.113331/). I sent it to WF to have it evaluated who then sent it to their cutters to see what they said. Apparantly the best thing to do was just leave it as it was so small and would go under the prong. GREAT! I''m happy... then I get my ring back today (After them having it for over 3 weeks!)

Obviously I examine it and immediately notice some things that are off. First... the underpart where the ring sits.. used to be completely filled with diamond. There were no gaps or open air that you could see through. I knew this because when I would clean it with the little q-tip thing there was no room at all to poke it in or around. So I''m thinking what the heck? I don''t much much about this stuff and I come to the conclusion that maybe the diamond was set higher or something?? I have no idea. Then upon looking I see a good size inclusion through the side of the diamond. THIS DIAMOND WAS EYE CLEAN BEFORE! I''ve called WF and will be awaiting to here back from them on Monday. Does anyone know why any of this would happen?

Oh dear I guess I''m not going to be of any help just wanted to say sorry that you are having this many problems with your gorgeous ring...hopefully this time it is something simple like it did get set too high and perhaps WF will be able to take care of it and I''m glad to hear that the chip is so small that they don''t think it warrants being polished out in which case you would have lost some weight which I think you weren''t too keen on correct?
I''m really not sure about the issue with the inclusion that wasn''t there before and now is...any chance you could have missed seeing it in the first place? Not being rude or anything just asking but I''m sure being an engagement diamond that you did scrutinize the heck out of it when you first got it so I''m not sure what has happened...I hope you have everything resolved to your satisfaction really soon I''m sure your fiance misses her ring terribly by now 3 weeks is forever for me if my e-ring were gone...keep us posted....Best of luck

Regarding the inclusion, I can see two black dots from each side of my VS2 RB near the girdle, but they are not real inclusions, just the refraction of light.

wacamaster, I''m sorry this has been such a dramatic saga for you. Is there a reason you have to wait till Monday for a response? Or are you just assuming? I think WF is open today

Does it look like a crack that splits the bottom part of the diamond in two ... horizontally? If so, that''s a girdle reflection & maybe it wasn''t visible the way the stone was set before.
