Just thought I''d introduce myself!
I added myself to the LIW List about a month ago, but never really introduced myself.
I''ve been with my SO for a little over 3 years now, and the proposal should be coming sometime very soon! We met at Hooters (lol, romantic, I know!). I was his waitress! He''s quite a bit older then me (I''m 22, hes 34) but you would never notice and neither do we. We recently bought our first house together in October and filed for the first-time home buyers credit. With the 8k he gets from his tax return he will be buying my ring
I''ve had the ring picked out for months now, it''s starting to drive me crazy!! If you''re getting the first-time home buyers credit you had to paper-file your tax return, which we did in the beginning of February. We stupidly forgot to mail in his W2 with the return and it held up the process of getting the refund quickly. We mailed in the W2 almost 4 weeks ago now, so we should be getting the $$$ any day.
I started looking for the perfect ring back in January so I feel like I''ve been waiting forever. He''s letting me pick the ring because he knows how picky I am, but the purchasing of the ring/proposal is all going to be a surprise. I''ve started to not so subtley express my hatred of waiting (aka yelling ''I WANT MY RING, DAM*IT!'') so he definitely wont be holding onto the ring too long and making me wait. In the meantime I''ve been staring at wedding websites until my brain turns to goo! I basically have the entire wedding planned out in my head
And I want to start finalizing plans but I feel like an idiot calling vendors when there hasn''t been a proposal. And he definitely isn''t the type to propose without the ring, so no luck there. He''s very old-fashioned when it comes to this sort of thing so I''m lucky to even have a say in the ring. I was going to pick 3 rings and just let him choose one, but after months of waiting I''ve become too attached to one in particular and I know that if I don''t get the one I''ll be slightly disappointed. I don''t want that to come across as not appreciative, because I am, but I know I''ll always wish I would have just told him which one.
Anyways, just wanted to say hello and give you a little bit of background on me! I love pricescope, it''s literally the only thing keeping me sane these days! Any posetive thoughts sent towards the IRS Gods regarding my SO''s $$$ would be appreciated

thanks for everything ladies!
